Jericho Ranch
Jericho Ranch (Also known as Jericho, or the Frontier Ranch) is the name of the company and estate owned by Akeboun in eastern Cascadia, Frontier. It is the largest privately owned cow farming operation in Cascadia and North America. At some 300 chunks with a cattle carrying capacity of about 6,000 it is larger than hundreds of Cascadian and foreign towns. While mostly focusing on cow products, Jericho Ranch also partakes in other forms of businesses as a Defense Contractor.
The Headquarters of the ranch lies along Highway 94 in the Frontier bordering the Yellowstone National Park. It was founded in 2022 by Akeboun with the purchase of the former town Fort Peck just east of Chaeronea. It includes parts of three of the four Cascadian Electoral districts.
The ranch consists of three divisions of land: Jericho Ranch, the main homestead which consists of its Southern Pasture. West Pasture which consists of the ranches original property and is the main area of operation. The Frontier in the Great north, where construction has begun to set up an ice mining operation. Jericho Ranch was designated as the Jericho Ranch National Historic Landmark for its historic significance to the region and the country.
History
The Jericho Ranch was created when a Chaeronean resident Akeboun bought a local municipality named Fort Peck, and created a homestead in the Frontier. At the time the property was only 32 chunks, and held only a couple buildings. They were taken down and replaced by sprawling wheat fields and sheep herds (They were quickly changed to cow herds due to faster and easier to sell items).
During the ranches growth it experienced its own fair share of hunting, specifically by members of the Rocky Mountain Federation. This time is known as the Frontier Range War, a localized conflict of players surrounding the ranch and smaller Cascadian towns.
The Jericho Ranch became known for its Jericho Steaks, which were locally grown beef cruelty free, by locally grown wheat that is also grown on the ranch. As Jericho Ranch expanded to 132 chunks, it also expanded its herds allowing for mass production of steak and leather. However, once overclaim was added to the server it forced the ranch to sell off some of its land back down to 107 chunks total. This is when Akeboun and some of his friends would buy local towns to add to their total property holdings.
Jericho Ranch would fund the creation of a second town along the western border of Yellowstone, to help aid in environmental conservation and grow their own operations. Doubling the size of the property overnight. Around this time is when the operation was officially incorporated into a company and began an advertising campaign. The ranch would begin buying local properties in numerous Cascadian towns where they would hold cow herds allowing a more efficient process of raising cattle, by having other players and active towns keep ranch operations in loaded chunks at all times.
Jericho Ranch has expanded into other industries, including town holding and ice mining. It has made numerous contracts with the Cascadian government making it one of the most profitable organizations in the nation. It continues to expand and explore avenues of development, sponsoring other smaller homesteads and farms as well as establishing a Stockgrowers Association to further the cause of its industry.
Growth And Future Plans
The Jericho Ranch continues to grow and sell leather and steaks, its cow herds can produce about a stack of gold each reaping, while only taking up about 1/5 of the ranches property. Plans are put in place to expand the cow herds and buy property in local towns.
