It currently consists of 20 federated provinces and some other minor possessions. The Evergreen shares borders with many nations across the continent, and it spans over several regions with several exclaves and enclaves, as well as the three asian provinces of Bhutan, October Island, and the Maldives. With a population of nearly 269 people as of 28 March 2022, spread across 70 towns, it is one of the most influential nations in North America. In the early days of EarthMC, the players RangerMK01, Banthos, Kathulos, and Think Geek, on 11 December 2018 established a nation called the Republic of Cascadia, in order to create a peaceful, influential, and free democratic nation; with the capital being located in the town of Astoria, located in northwestern Oregon. Cascadia quickly expanded and developed as not just a major power in North American politics, and world politics as well. Cascadia reached its peak with massive extension over the summer of 2019, however with numerous incidents occurring, Cascadia quickly collapsed back to the northwest. Entering the new year of 2020, under the Presidency of Estonian_Mapping (now EstiQT), Cascadia appeared to be restabilizing and entering a new period of prosperity; however due to multiple scandals and internal instability, many major core provinces such as Washington ended up seceding from the Republic; and due to alleged mass democratic backsliding and corruption within the government, on February 9, 2022 the Salish Confederation was established in Wenatchee, growing ever prevalent within the region; with the goal of bringing about direct democracy with pure representation of the people in governance; which ended up triggering the Cascadian Civil War which, despite the name, did not involve Cascadia directly. The Salish Confederation and Republic of Cascadia peacefully co-existed, both with their own highs and lows, however their relationship gradually began to mend. On 20 February 2021, the Pacific Pact was established as an alliance of pacific nations; and on 14 February 2022, after two weeks of discussions between the two governments, the Evergreen Republic was formally established and the Republic of Cascadia and Salish Confederation both dissolved.
