History

Early History (January to February of 2020)

Birth in Nepal

Matthew_Hodges originally joined under the name 1203927 in Nepal, made some basic tools, and with no understanding of the teleportation system walked eastwards to Bangladesh and from there, China.

Invitation to China

Soon after he joined, he joined the nation of Qing by the Emperor, Mr_X1234 who also gave him a starter set of Diamond Armor and a plot in LiaoYang.

Scars from Fiji

Soon after his entrance into Qing, Mat (called that at the time) was in a Qing voice channel and was told that there was free stone in Fiji, unaware of Mineturtle795's activities at the time. He was swiftly killed with a Near-God Armor set, Max-Enchant Axe, and Unbreaking III/Mending Shield. This has led to Matthew keeping his god tools and god armor set in his Ender Chest at all times unless needed.

Mid-Year (March to July of 2020)

Move to Qiqihar

Around March of 2020, Mat moved over to a town west of LiaoYang called Qiqihar, gaining enough trust to become a Councillor and right-hand man to the mayor of the town, PotatoInSpace. Later in March, Potato was able to purchase the nation of Gold Coast in West Africa, handing mayorship over to Mat. He then soon gave the order to delete the town, a decision Matthew still feels guilty for following.

Turmoil in Qiqihar

Directly after this, Mr_X1234, the Emperor recieved the news of the deletion, understandably pissed due to Qiqihar's positioning. Escorted by the Emperor, Mat partially reclaimed the town, but the progress soon was rolled back due to a glitch. The gold was refunded but Mr_X let Mat keep the funds due to most of Qing's members leaving the server for reasons of inactivity and one of the major members being banned for duping.

Migration to the Philippines

After Qing practically collapsed (but wasn't officially disbanded), 1203927 decided to move his items to an embassy in Pyongyang (at the time part of the Duel Republic of Korea) and from here created a town at the Northern tip of the Philippines, named Aparri. In this time he led a life in solitude, ordering some animals along the way, but not really mingling or interfering in the politics of the server. Eventually Aparri joined the nation Filipinas, mainly out of convience and no particular loyalties.

The End of Aparri

Due to 1203927 setting the main plot in Aparri to an "Inn" without knowledge of what Inns did, everything valuable within the town was stolen, including multiple Mending books, End Crystals, Turtle Eggs, and more. The event was so discouraging that Matthew logged off to intentionally let the town fall on its own to resume playing on an anarchy server.

New Beginnings (Nov. 2020 to Present)

Return to EarthMC

Following months of inactivity, on November 19, 2020, 1203927 returned to the server under the new name of Matthew_Hodges. Upon his return, he saw many changes in Southeast Asia such as how Qing was disbanded, Korea was partly owned by Japan, and most importantly his town no longer existed. Being townless, he was quickly snagged up into Mersa in Nubia. Later in this time as a Nubian, he obtained an embassy in Asia and created plans to make a new town, and later nation inbetween Asia and LiaoYang. And by pure chance, a gold drop was hosted in Madagascar which gave him 64 Gold Blocks in riches along with a few assorted valuables.

The Creation of the PRC

By another bout of luck, the player Kolleen just-so happened to be selling off their nation which was situated in Western China, at the time named 4.1ContactStaff due to the rule violation. From there Matthew_Hodges bought the town of Dornan, and renamed it to Guizhou with the nation becoming the People's Republic of China.

Only a few days later, the user Kolleen was selling off her 28-chunk nation (named 4.1ContactStaff at the time) for only 200G, which was located in Western China. From here Matthew bought the small nation and renamed the town after the province it was located, which is Guizhou, while the nation itself was renamed to the PRC (People's Republic of China).

Relations into Siberia

After the establishment of the People's Republic of China, Matthew was approached by Leny1135 of the PRS, who explained his doctrine of the PRS, deepening connections with the young nation leader.
