A mega-nation is formed by a group of smaller nations binding together to achieve a common goal. There are three types of mega-nations: Empires, Unions, and Extended Nations.

A meganation is a group of Towny nations binding together under one banner. Some people tend to call objectively strong meganations a 'supernation' but it's considered as an unofficial term. Meganations can be divided into various types of them depending on politics and governments.

Most current mega-nations are empires, with the exception of La Plata.
