It was founded by President North Paso who acted as its first President. It would come into disputes with its neighbor, Louisiana, and would be unstable for the next couple of months. Future Pueblo Emperor Mr E became the second President, before resigning (which Paso acted as regent), before PotatoFilms was elected the Third and Final President of Texas before he, Pueblo, and Louisiana conducted a coup d'état on the Republic, fracturing it, and leaving '''The Vibedom of New Caledonia''' as the final rump state, which was annexed into Cascadia on May 10, 2021.

The same day, Paso was crowned by the Pope as Rio Grande Emperor. After this, THEF2PNOOB, acting governor of Louisiana, told Paso that Louisiana and Mississippi would be leaving the Provisional Government to form their own nation. The main causes for this were due to Paso's insistence to form an elective republic and differing ideas on allies. Over these next several days, the government would slowly begin to establish aspects of the future government. On September 10, the one year anniversary of the collapse of the Texas Commonwealth, Paso declared reorganization of the Provisional Government into the Republic of Texas with him as its founding President.
