Incumbent Governor [[SayerQT]] did not stand for re-election. The gubernatorial election resulted in a victory for Treasurer [[ViolentVampire]], receiving a record 95.2% of the vote. Voter turnout was down slightly at 46.7% of registered voters. The house elections resulted in incumbents winning just half of the seats, with Incumbents winning just around 52% of first-preference votes. These were also the first elections for the House of Representatives held under Nonpartisan Proportional Representation, put into place by the Representation of the People Act passed earlier that month.
