Purest Pines has an incredibly broad and rich history. Throughout its two years of existence, the town has manifested itself in seven separate nations, changing nations on eight occasions. Hence, its history is split up into the eight distinct ''eras'' that follow:

''InternetCurtains’ first months on EarthMC were spent largely in an inactive town called Maluku, part of the Aru Islands nation – situated around eastern Indonesia (not too far away to the west was the town of Albany, which at the time was massive and extremely populous). The town occupied a duo of small islands along with the nation capital, Iambetter. InternetCurtains logged on every single day, unlike every other person in the entire nation. Despite this, InternetCurtains stayed in Maluku for a good month or two, slowly but surely growing his wealth, knowledge of EarthMC and hoarding of items in a storage room. This was done with only two plots available to him (one which was used specifically for a farm), and the chance to make the occasional trip to Australia – a wasteland of ruined towns at this point – via a short boat ride south.

InternetCurtains was enjoying his time in Maluku, but one day in June of 2023, he decided it would be fun to make his own town. The first location to found the town that came to mind to him was Canada. Not only was it vast but it was ruled by pines and solitude at the time, not towns, per se. There was a lot of room for a town to develop without it having to worry about anything like its nearby neighbours. InternetCurtains didn’t mine; his only source of gold was from the two voting websites, which he voted on every day. This meant that the process of getting 64 gold to found a town would be slow and difficult. However, this meant that a lot of time was given to InternetCurtains to plan out the town before it was built.

While the 64 gold was being collected, InternetCurtains made regular journeys to eastern Canada in search for a solid place to found his town. Eventually, he found the perfect location somewhere in Quebec, to the east of James Bay. Unfortunately, though, he lost the coordinates to this place.

Then, while finding his way through Ontario, InternetCurtains came across a small clearing. There was a flat middle section, a part that stretched out from the main area, a river that led to an even larger clearing and an array of ponds which could be combined into a decent lake. In this clearing, InternetCurtains could visualise the construction of a peaceful, humble town. He knew that this was the picture-perfect, unspoiled location he had been searching for.

Thus, the planning of this town was now underway.

The original idea was to build some sort of town centre in the middle of the small clearing. Around the perimeter of pine trees, pre-built houses for residents would be built, each one alluding to a certain type of wood.

A few days before the process of getting 64 gold for the town was complete, InternetCurtains left Maluku, farewelling the town via signs at his plot, and joined New Kaliningrad, which at the time was medium-sized and around the area. It had recently become the nation capital of James Bay. He claimed a pre-built house there without consent of the mayor, USFriskI, (InternetCurtains would later learn that residents of this town were doomed to living without their own plots or support or anything, making the addition of prebuilt houses ever so slightly dubious) who InternetCurtains never even spoke to until a couple of months later. He put all of the valuable items he had taken with him from Maluku into the pre-built house.

InternetCurtains started construction on the town centre first, before the town was actually founded. It was very simple: a small wooden structure took up most of a chunk. The walls were made of spruce planks with entrances of air (no doors or anything else) on each of the four corners. Five blocks up was the roof: a flat ceiling of orange glass with a perimeter of spruce planks from the walls. The floor was a simple mosaic of sorts, with four different types of wood around each corner entrance. In the centre was a four-by-four entrance into what was proposed to be the town storage, where InternetCurtains would put his things. At first, this was small and compact, but it did the job, since Purest Pines was nowhere near as large as it would be several months later, and InternetCurtains’ vision for most certainly did not include his town being a popular capital of a well-known and active nation, nor being the second-largest town in the third-largest nation on the server. The chests were countable and the walls were made cheaply of deepslate. From what was described, it may seem like this town centre was detailed, but it really wasn’t; it was incredibly simple, and not too eye-catching, either, but for InternetCurtains’ plan to make his dream humble town, it seemed alright. It actually took quite a long time for him to build this town centre despite how straightforward it was, and InternetCurtains was almost killed by a duo of hunters approaching him once while he was making it, only to be saved by a player called Peace_of_Poo who owned the town of Feces_Island_2, which took up real life Akimiski and was reasonably close to Internet’s town. This player alerted him through DMs, so InternetCurtains was able to run to a nearby nether portal just in time and wait for the hunters to disappear. The names of these two hunters have faded away in time.

On the 27th of June, 2023, InternetCurtains finally managed to get 64 gold to found Purest Pines. He headed over to the clearing once again and left New Kaliningrad.

This marked the start of an exceptionally extensive journey governed by InternetCurtains himself – a lengthy one filled with fallen heros, motivational loss, countless players, and so, so much more. One that InternetCurtains and so many other people will never forget, one that changed the course of a few select player’s lives, of whom most had not even touched the server yet at this point. This very moment defined so many things that can be seen all around eastern Canada, New England, Quebec and further afield.
