Rio de Janeiro (Brazilian Portuguese: [ˈʁi.u d(ʒi) ʒɐˈne(j)ɾu]), in full Cidade de São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro, is a town in Brazil.
History
Early History
The town of Rio de Janeiro was founded on the 1st of May, 2022, by Kahina on the western shore of Guanabara Bay. It is one of the earliest settlements in South America. Initially, PomboAtomico was designated to oversee the town's urbanism and, following this, to assume leadership. However, for reasons that remain unclear, the governance was transferred to Rossome0203 on the 17th of May, prior to PomboAtomico taking office as mayor.
Following the transfer of governance, Rossome became the mayor of Rio de Janeiro. At the time, the town was still in its early stages and relatively small. Under his leadership, notable projects were undertaken, including the construction of an underground baked potato farm and the creation of a 3-block-tall statue of Christ the Redeemer. These projects, among others, played a pivotal role in shaping the town’s early identity and setting the foundation for its future growth.
