Balatonfalva is a town located on the shores of Lake Balaton and is part of the ‘’’Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth (PLC). It was founded on 31 July by Don_Peanut, following an initiative by Sokmak to revive an earlier settlement in the area.

The town is currently governed by Mayor Don_Peanut, with Sokmak[1] serving as councillor. Balatonfalva has also developed into an important centre for the Hungarian community within the PLC, having hosted the first meeting of the ‘’‘Nemzeti Magyar Tanács’’’(National Hungarian Council) and serving as the base of the ‘’‘PLC Guardians’’’.

History

Balaton

Before the foundation of Balatonfalva, a town named Balaton existed in the area as part of Austria-Hungary. The settlement remained on the map for a period of time, but after a long period of inactivity it eventually fell and disappeared from the map.

This left the Lake Balaton area without the settlement that had previously represented the region.

Revival of the settlement

Following the disappearance of Balaton, Sokmak proposed the idea of reviving the settlement and establishing a new Hungarian town on Lake Balaton.

The idea was taken up by Don_Peanut, who founded the new town of Balatonfalva on 31 July. Rather than simply recreating the former town of Balaton, Balatonfalva was established as its successor and developed as a new settlement in its own right.

After its foundation, Balatonfalva became part of the PLC

Despite being part of the PLC, Balatonfalva maintains a strong Hungarian identity and has become involved in organizations connecting Hungarian settlements and players within the Commonwealth.

Organizations

Nemzeti Magyar Tanács

Balatonfalva hosted the first meeting of the Nemzeti Magyar Tanács’’’ (National Hungarian Council).

The council was created as an organization connecting Hungarian settlements and communities. The first meeting taking place in Balatonfalva contributed to the town’s growing political importance among the Hungarian community within the PLC.

PLC Guardians

Balatonfalva also serves as the ‘’base of the PLC Guardians’’, an organization founded by That1_Manus.

The PLC Guardians were established as a security and defense organization intended to help protect settlements and players within the region.

The presence of the organization’s base further contributed to Balatonfalva’s importance within the southern and Hungarian areas of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth.
