North Island of New Zealand
The North Island of New Zealand is one of the three major islands that make up New Zealand, coming in second place in size and first in population. The capital Auckland and the previous one, Wanganui are both on this island along with the largest town in population, Taupo.

Geography
The island is located in the South East Pacific, covered densely in forests, lakes and in some places, mountains. Forests are largely populating the East and Western areas of North Island around Taupo and the largest length of mountain ranges are also located in the Eastern areas, with some other ones around Wanganui, Auckland and the Taranaki region.
the geography also determines the regions. 7 regions are a part of the North Island but due to town claims going over some of the regions that exist in real life, 2 are missing. The regions are:
