Newfoundland (Aurora)
History
The nation of Newfoundland was founded on Aurora by Bajzyl, on June 6, 2022. Bajzyl, the first King, established the Bazicla Dynasty and invited a few towns to the nation. Bajzyl did not do much with Newfoundland during his rule, resulting in a small, isolated nation with little infrastructure. Bajzyl eventually grew tired of the nation and sold it on January 21, 2023 to Fizzbruv (former Emperor of the Solomon Islands), thus making Fizzbruv the new King. Fizz established the Fizz Dynasty and started work on the nation. He created the Parliament, which limited the Kings power and control over Newfoundland. He also established political districts, or Provinces, which were essentially towns and their political control over a certain area. During his first few weeks as King, 6 new Provinces joined the nation and 30 more players moved to the nation.
Provinces
La Manche
La Manche (Easternmost Province on the island) is the first Province of the Kingdom of Newfoundland. Founded on May 13, 2022, it is one of the oldest towns in Canada on the server. La Manche serves as the capital of the Kingdom and it is where the King lives, as well as where the Parliament building is located.
Torngat
Torngat (informally known as Our Torngat) is the second Province to join the Kingdom of Newfoundland, joining on August 31, 2022. Often referred to as the "City of the north", Torngat is the northernmost Province of Newfoundland and is represented in Parliament by DuimpieDeDuim and Rooftop_Pigeon (The creators of Torngat).
Saint Pierre
Saint Pierre is the third Province to join the Kingdom of Newfoundland, joining on January 19, 2023. It consists of two small islands and a peninsula, making it the smallest Province by land area. It is represented in Parliament by Dirtman8729, who created Saint Pierre and also serves as the Head Priest of Newfoundland.
Corner Brook
Corner Brook is the fourth Province to join the Kingdom of Newfoundland, joining on January 25, 2023. Even though it is the second oldest town in Newfoundland, it didn't join as a Province until recently, during the Fizz Dynasty. It is represented in Parliament by Sweetea (EWisawesome).
Grey River
Grey River is the fifth Province to join the Kingdom of Newfoundland, joining on February 2, 2023. It is the first town created in Newfoundland after the Fizz Dynasty began, and it is represented in Parliament by Pyrite_, the creator of the town.
Goodburg
Goodburg is the sixth Province to join the Kingdom of Newfoundland, joining on February 8, 2023. It was created by Goodboy1111, who served as Fizz's chancellor during his rule of the Solomon Islands. Goodboy1111 also represents Goodburg in Parliament.
Rivendell
Rivendell is the seventh Province to join the Kingdom of Newfoundland, joining on February 9, 2023. It is the largest Province by area and was founded by Drchemisalive, a former resident of La Manche. Vadapatta represents Rivendell in Parliament.
Rochefort
Rochefort is the eighth Province to join the Kingdom of Newfoundland, joining on February 10, 2023. It was founded by ViikinkiJaVelho, who also represents Rochefort in Parliament.
Kahnawake
Kahnawake is the ninth Province to join the Kingdom of Newfoundland, joining on February 11, 2023. It was admitted into the Kingdom after King Fizz promised to help them fight off New Brunswick from claiming their island. It was created by Vandetti and is represented in Parliament by Hodin.
Englee
Englee is the tenth Province to join the Kingdom of Newfoundland, joining on February 18, 2023. It was bought by the Newfoundland government and then given to Drchemisalive, who left his town of Rivendell to claim Englee. Drchemisalive represents Englee in Parliament.
Flags
The national flag of the Kingdom of Newfoundland is the flag of Newfoundland and Labrador Province in Canada in the real world. This flag was immediately used as the in-game national flag from day one. The white represents snow and ice, the blue represents the sea, the red represents human effort, and the gold represents confidence in the future. It was designed in 1980 by the artist Christopher Pratt.
