History
Sardinia, the second largest island in the Mediterranean, was founded by Qorrin on May 1, 2022, the first day of Terra Aurora only available for premium users. In the beginning it was part of Germany for the claim bonus and then joined Apulia until the entire island was claimed, since the 15th of October 2022 the island has been part of the Most Serene Republic of Genoa. Following Qorrin's inactivity and nearing a 42 day timeout, Erwinnn became the mayor of Sardinia on December 8, 2023. Since then, the island has become the property of House Doria.
In February the town of Maddalena was founded on the north-east of the island in the hope of overclaiming it, however they only overclaimed the bridge leading to Corsica while the artificial island that was trying to be built was deleted for major terraforming.
In March 2024 various offers from Venice (around 20k gold ingots) were made to buy the island but were all turned down, around that time AndrewKase had planned to quit EMC and has since been Mayor of Sardinia, however now he's still active and helping on the town's infrastructure
To avoid overclaim, the unused southern part of the island was unclaimed, leading to the founding of Carbonia to help share the recruitment burden. However, Carbonia remains part of the island.
In April 2025 Sardinia was given to 37mg as he was seen as the best case to lead the town, and with that the first proper buildings on the island were made around that time, however, out of fear of being banned the town has been led again by AndrewKase.
In January 2026 Sardlux moved to Sardinia aiming to bring activity to the town, around that time the town has expanded and has hit it's peak of population since the start of the server with around 70 residents.
