History

Creation of the nation

Context of creation

The three founders of The Republic of The Canadian Prairies were initially members of nearby Wollaston. When leaving the Nation, they left with the goal of building a nation that could buy their old home.

Coolville is founded April 13th 2025, it is immediately made the new capital due to the large flat clearings provided by the surrounding area. It is expanded rapidly to 40 residents in a little over a month.

Highway connection

JoeCool6969 built a connection from Coolville to the nearby twinned highway, known as the Trans-Canada in Coolville. This road connects Coolville all the way to the west coast of Canada, and extends a couple thousand blocks east aswell.

Government

As of writing the government is a monarchy, with intentions in the near future to raise a constitution with a constitutional monarchy on the horizon

Military

The Canadian Prairies Security Department (CPSD) is the peacekeeping and military force in the nation. Headquartered in Coolville, the CPSD HQ is home to the offices of the director of the CPSD, LegacyStick, and the senior supervisor, JoeCool6969. Members of the nation are urged to join the force, but there have been no drafts in the nations history.
