Our Story

My name is sunnyinbound. I joined EarthMC back in mid 2022 although have no memories of it, as I then went inactive until May 25th, 2024, when I decided to search for SMPs to play online. Keep in mind I had no idea I even played on this server before. As I was getting acclimated to the server, I thought, why not make my own town? The first town I joined was Athens, Greece. I then decided to build my town in the Northern Svalbard area, as I really like the snowy cold climate. When I got there, I started a tiny farm and built my first home. Then it was time to start getting the gold. I started a little stairway mine and got mining for gold. I also used the voting system, getting some gold to further help my needs. It was then I upgraded my tiny wheat farm a bit and finally made Sandinavia. Fun Fact: Other names I thought of were Sandyland, Sunniland, or Svalbardia. However, a little bit after this, I decided to get off the game for unknown reasons. I went back on the game, however, there was a queue. I decided to further promote my new town by saying "Who wants to check out EarthMC's newest town, Sandinavia?" in chat. I didn't think much of it, until a man named 16Andrey said this: "Nobody cares about ur town" Of course, I was a bit angered at him, as I simply wanted people to know about my new town. Then I replied, Nobody cares about you either. He didn't reply after that, so I thought maybe our little ordeal was over. Boy could I be far from right. It was at this point where I wasn't storing my items anywhere and only in my inventory, and my house was actually barely outside of the No PVP area of my actual town (only one chunk as of then). So 16Andrey teleported to my town and while I wasn't looking, killed me out of nowhere with his little flame sword, my diamond armor doing nothing and being too panicked to fight, died, losing about a stack of diamonds, 9 gold, and other tools and items. Sandinavia's first outlaw was born. It was at this time I started to reach out to other towns in the area, two of those being Rockhaven, owned by REK3k, and Kalaallit_Nunaat, owned by Oya3rdLight. These two town owners were extremely kind enough to give me some resources such as diamonds, armor, tools, and a bit of gold as well. With this, I gathered the motivation to build my town and become very good friends with those two and grew my town to the amount it is today. I should also note that at this time I discovered shops, allowing me to get even more gold to expand my town more and more. I also ended up joining the beautiful nation of Suomi, owned by REK3k.

About Sandinavia

Sandinavia is a small town located in Northern Svalbard under the nation of Suomi. As of the time writing this, the town is composed of 10 chunks each with their own purposes, e.g. Farms, Animal Farms, Homes, or Other. Sandinavia is owned by sunnyinbound and was created on May 26th, 2024.

Etymology

Sandinavia's name was derived from the northern peninsula of Europe, Scandinavia, as Sandinavia is also extremely cold. Fun Fact: Sandinavia has nothing to do with sand.

As of the time writing this, there are only four official outlaws banned from entering Sandinavian territory, those being: 16Andrey, Huxf, 9TSD, GGaego.
