Californian Dawn Era
The Dawn Era began at the public release of Terra Aurora to the public, on May 13th, 2022. This era marked a period of rapid expansion for the nation as recruiting and town building went into full effect.
Acquisitions
Another nation, Oregon, had been planned to be established by OriginalDogster and many of his Terra Nova citizens. Oregon stated that it would remain firmly independent as a power on the West Coast, to the mild annoyance of the Californians. However, after a talk between Cubs_ and OriginalDogster, he changed his mind and decided to join California as a province. The nation of Oregon was made on the server 13 days after public release, on May 26th as a part of California.
New Towns
Now that the server was accessible to all players, new towns were founded within California. Eureka and San Luis Obispo were founded on the first day of public release, and San Diego, Fresno, and Cabo San Lucas were founded two days after, on May 15th. Soon after, San Diego would be given to LawofRence, and Bakersfield to TopPilot, marking the first major switch in mayor-ship.
Conflict with Michigan
Multiple incursions on Detroit by California led to Michigan converting the Salton Sea into a phallic symbol an hour before the server ended early access. This remained on the Dynmap visible for a full week before California could begin repairs. After Michigan's founding, Detroit was raided in return with another round of penis construction, as well as the theft of the Detroit farm and Brizan1's front wall. An aerial penis in the center of Michigan was also built, covering 5 chunks and visible only on the Dynmap, this was destroyed shortly after. In mid June this conflict is believed to have escalated to the full destruction of an island off the coast of Los Angeles, the structure was then rebuilt block for block in Michigans Capital.
Construction
With the server now two weeks old, more of a focus was put on building instead of collecting gold and other resources. A public beach and beach house was completed in Los Angeles, and the city itself began construction. San Francisco also began building in the surrounding areas. Fresno completed the first known skyscraper in the Americas on May 19th. May 25th and 26th saw the completion of Cubs_ and StarKiller1744's mountain mansions in Los Angeles.
