Overview
Mansel island is the first town to join Arctic Islands and was founded on the 26th of January 2022. Originally with the purpose to house animals for the nation until it can get properly up and running, now takes on the role of farming as a main industry.
History
Other than the town being passed over to the user with the username "alexsquibbs" (nicknamed "alex"), this town does not have too much history other than what happened during The Landscaping Project.
The Landscape Project
Duration: January 26th, 2022 to May 7th, 2022
The Landscape project was the time from founding to fully claim, terraform, and landscape the land. During this process, some of those who contributed help towards this was 4uora, Cactusfoot, and alexsquibbs. These users helped greatly through the process of fixing up the land, despite being killed a few times on unclaimed land!
Architecture
Pre-Founding
Originally, a fort style structure was believed to be the main structure of the town here previously, but due to its insane size, was removed during The Landscape Project to make space for the new town along side other buildings.
Post-Founding
The town does not have any buildings as of writing, but the planned style of the town will be wooden architecture with a Nordic style.
