Nova:Saami

Saami (also known as Sápmi or Sami and officially known as the Republic of Saami) is a country in Northern Europe. It was founded by TheFunnyMonkey on December 22nd, 2023.
Geography
Saami is located in Northern Finland. It's capital is the town of Peräpohjola. Saami's name comes from the indigenous Saami People, who live in the region of where Saami is. The only other town than Peräpohjola is highway, located Southeast of Lapland.
History
Early History
TheFunnyMonkey is a prominent player of Nova who is the Emperor of Saami. Back in 2020, TheFunnyMonkey played Nova before Aurora existed. TheFunnyMonkey joined many towns over the span of many months, the last of which was the town of New Orleans. He decided to go on a trek across the ocean to the region of Angola (not the nation by SimplyFlame), where he created a spruce house. He brung with him a set of diamond armor, his first that was, until he fell off the house and died . For he hadn't created a bed, so it surely despawned. TheFunnyMonkey was sad, so he took a break from EarthMC. He then forgot about the server for quite a long time, until he rejoined in 2023. He hadn't known it, but this wasn't the same server he made his house on. This was aurora. He then spent months going from town to town making houses and starting new journeys planning to make a town on aurora. But, one fateful day, a man in the chat had spoken of a old server from 2020 - 2022 named Nova. TheFunnyMonkey knew this was the original server he had made his house. He asked for the command to join nova and joined it. He wandered across the Saharan wilderness for an hour until a man named _XRZ asked him to join a town named Kirkenes. _XRZ was the recruiter and the first resident in Kirkenes, other than its founder, Ezelmine. The town was originally called Gregory. TheFunnyMonkey was the fourth resident of Kirkenes, other than Ezel. TheFunnyMonkey built the first tall building in Kirkenes and also created the New Finnmark National Zoo, which is still in progress.
(October 19th, 2023 - December 22nd, 2023)
TheFunnyMonkey told Ezelmine, leader of Kirkenes and New Finnmark that he wanted to create a town near Kirkenes. Ezelmine agreed to this and gave TheFunnyMonkey a stack of gold. TheFunnyMonkey did not know what to name it, as he hadn't thought of it yet. So he decided to look up some things about the Geographical region and named it "Peräpohjola" after the historical region of Peräpohjola/South Lapland. Peräpohjola then joined New Finnmark. Peräpohjola was quite dormant, only having TheFunnyMonkey as the only resident. The only changes being small chunk expansions and chunks being excavated, until December 17th, 2023 when RedstoneGames200 joined Peräpohjola as its first resident. SinglePekka, a good friend of TheFunnyMonkey, and one of the first residents of Kirkenes along with TheFunnyMonkey, joined the town as well as its second resident, not including TheFunnyMonkey.
Founding of the Nation
Throughout December 2023, TheFunnyMonkey saved up gold for days and weeks, making it to about 650 gold, when Ezelmine funded TheFunnyMonkey the other 474 gold to create the nation on December 22nd.
(December 22nd, 2023 - February 11th, 2024)
On December 22nd, 2023, Saami was founded. There was 4 residents at the time, TheFunnyMonkey, RedstoneGames200, SinglePekka, and LordChipmunk844. The Town grew and grew, eventually the City Hall was complete, being the first major structure made in the towns history, other than houses. The Saami Arena was created around this time as well. About a week later, the Peräpohjola Farm and the Saami Tower were also complete. The next couple days, more people were added to the town and it became a Hamlet. The Saami Smaller Office Building next to the Saami Tower was also complete. on January 5th, the North Star Republic was born, an alliance between New Russia, New Finnmark, and Saami. The NSR is now much larger, but the three main countries are the main government and leaders of the Alliance. The NSR Department of Justice Saami Court was made as well, being the house of the Department of Justice of the NSR. The Peräpohjola Skyscraper was made at this time as well. The Peräpohjola farm was destroyed. In its place, the Downtown Hotel was constructed. This place was originally going to be the place where Krissyfishy's Embassy was, leader of New Russia. Peräpohjola also became a Village at this time. Peräpohjola got its coastline after it became a Village on January 20th. On January 19th, Kemijärvi was created by SinglePekka, being Saami's second town. On January 24th, highway was made, being Saami's third town. The Church of Arbuckle was also made at this time, being the first church for Jonathan Arbuckle, God of EarthMC. The plans for the Grand Saami Shop were made and on January 28th, SinglePekka created the nation of Pelkosenniemi. The Grand Saami Shop was created at this time and Peräpohjola became a Town. The Saami Palace was started as well along with the beginning of the construction of the Saami Hippodrome. The Saami Arena was permanently closed on February 9th, as the Saami Hippodrome would be it's successor. Juice286526, good friend of TheFunnyMonkey, creator of the second tall tower in Kirkenes, and the former owner of the nation Doyelsten, joined Peräpohjola at this time as well. On February 10th, 2024, Peräpohjola became a Large Town. On February 11th, 2024, the town of Murmansk City was made by MyManJeff1075, one of the first 6 residents of Peräpohjola.
