Roruka

Roruka is a town situated East of the Indus river, in the Andhra Pradesh region, Capital of the Maurya Dynasty. 

Early History.

The founding of the city dates back to 13/1/2020, in that day PrussianEagle and Raviell departed from the city of Cyrene and traversed Aegyptus, Israel and Persia with all their items on them, arriving in the region of Andhra Pradesh. The long journey would go down in Rorukan history and myths as "The Exodus". When the two men arrived, they found an ancient city made of diorite, stone bricks and logs. The two didn't know the name of the city and the civilization that built it, so they gave them a name of their own, calling them "Civilization of the Stairs", because in the upper portion of the city the two found a big room filled with stairs, wich they assumed was a parlament. In the next few days other friends joined, such as Alosk, Lossperutos, GodOfBlow, Alexios_Kun, DrimDriim, Dock86, _FloppyDisck_ , Armeno99, giobba and Sputaocchi.  Quickly the city began to get bigger and bigger, with strong sandstone walls protecting the inhabitants from raiding parties coming mainly from America and Oceania and a wide moat surrounding them.

Landmarks.

Roruka is home to a large museum-like complex which hosts map arts, relics taken from fallen towns and monuments which have been found on the location of unclaimed cities and rebuilt in the walls of Roruka. Its Gate of Ishtar, the city walls and the citadel also prove themselves to be quite impressive. Roruka also presents plenty of gardens, a monument dedicated the founding of the nation and the monument which hosts the spoils of the Indian-Mauryan War.

Trivia

• The Rorukan society is loosely based upon the Indo-Parthian Kingdom of the Suren dinasty, merging togheter elements of persian, indian and, to some extent, mesopotamian culture.

• Roruka is a City State, with a Sacred King at his head, Raviell, and an High Priest by his side, PrussianEagle. The sacred King has ten Councilor wich form, with the High Priest, the "Council of the Ten", wich is the higer government organ of the city.

• At the front of the city is located a small version of the Gate of Ishtar, in front of it there are two Lamassus wich guard the city from outsiders.
