Sandwich Islands

The Sandwich Islands (also known as the South Sandwich Islands) is an overseas territory of the Egalitarian Peoples Republic of Antarctica, located due east of Cape Horn, in the Scotia sea. The nation was created on the 16th of May, 2020, by Sbagliare, a former resident of Antarctica. The nation has seen small amounts of growth, as the nation leader Sbagliare has focused more on constructing infrastructure and building houses than recruiting. It is important to note that a resident of Antarctica, Merryrat, helped a great deal in clearing the main island from the large scale griefing that had occurred from towns past. The initial capital of the nation was Husvik, a medieval port town located on South Georgia Island, currently only has 5 residents, but hopes to see growth in the future as the town continues to develop. The other town in the nation, Port Omen located on the island chain The South Sandwich Islands is Southeast of Husvik, consisting of two large towers and some houses. The mayor of Port Omen, Azraelez, has constructed numerous automatic farms on the island, meaning that it is very rich in resources. On 5th September 2021 Sbagliare, the Leader of the nation at the time, stepped down, transferring power to Azraelez and making Port Omen the new capital.

As the nation is relatively new, not many things have happened on the island but some notable occurrences include:

• A small scale protest carried out by the king of Vinland, HSHV, against the nations communist belief system.
• The Offhand War, a minuscule skirmish that was mostly a joke, but some people took it too seriously
