The First Partition of Pequot

History

The Events Before

(Date and images will be found at a later date. It was around March of 2019) Pequot was a town in Connecticut and was in the nation of Iroquois, Pequot was planning on claiming all of Connecticut as that is where the mayor was from. The town had a hollow claim of most of Connecticut and started to claim onto Manhattan.

The Northeastern Alliance

The Northeastern Alliance was a town alliance between most of the states in New England, New Brunswick, and the Saint Lawrence region. It aimed to keep all the towns in the region at peace, a border treaty between Pequot and New York seemed to be the most reasonable solution, using the alliance the borders were neatly drawn out and the border treaty was accepted by both town mayors.

The Partition

Lucas2011 (the mayor of New York) decided that he wanted to expand, so he called a mod. He got most of Pequot's hollow claim removed. Only leaving the bare bones of Pequot left. This outraged Pequot and Iroquois as a whole.

Controversy

Hollow Claim

Lucas2011 was stating that hollow claims are a form of claim blocking (New York did have numerous hollow claims at the time, which was a point commonly brought up.)

The Staff

After many complaints in a ticket the staff replied Pequot was not using the land, RedNewt(Mayor of Pequot) stated that his town was mainly underground when he said this the staff replied and told him, that is not how you make a town.

Aftermath

RedNewt received the gold back from the removed claims, after much argument with the staff an upset RedNewt33 reclaimed his land, this time there was no large hollow claims. This was sadly removed in The Second Partition of Pequot.
