Template:Treaty/Agreement The Baqt (otherwise known just as Baqt) was a short-lived treaty signed between Ancient Egypt and Nubia. It outlined peace terms to end the conflict between Ancient Egypt and Nubia, however only lasted one day, with the Ancient Egyptians breaking every article.
Background
In early November 2019, a small conflict would initiate between Ancient Egypt and Nubia after Le Caire joined Nubia and louisdek killing twomoo1119 in an attempt at negotiations.
Prior to the treaty, a ceasefire had been agreed upon by both sides whilst negotiations surrounding the agreement of a peace treaty on the 25th November 2019. A day later, the ceasefire would end, after a refusal to accept the treaty by louisdek.
Treaty content
Article 1
- Nubia will maintain control of Philae and Kusti.
- Egypt will not be able to make towns along the nile between these two towns however they will be able to make towns out and and west.
Article 2
- Louisdek will address the Nubian and Egyptian public, both in game and in discord, acknowledging that he was the offender in this war. He will also announce that he has agreed to the terms of this treaty and will announce what is states in Articles 1 and 3. He will also apologize to the Nubian and Israeli public.
Article 3
- All nations fighting Ancient Egypt will make peace.
- Ancient Egypt will not be allowed to go to war for 2 months.
- A violation of any of these terms by either party is suitable justification for war.
Aftermath
About 12 hours later, it was announced by twomoo1119 that louisdek and his nation had broken all articles of the treaty, and thus war would return to the region. Negotiations would almost fully discontinue after this, with fighting becoming rarer too.
