The Volkov Family traces its origins to early 2021 in the [[Northeast Metro (Terra Nova)|Northeast Metro (TN)]], specifically New York City and [[Albany (Terra Nova)|Albany (TN)]], when the surname was used in trading and politics by Adrian, who spawned in Russia (TN). Eventually, the name evolved into a family, when the first [[Volkov Estate (Terra Nova)|Volkov Estate (TN)]] was constructed in April, 2021, in Montgomery (TN). The family's growth remained stagnant, for the most part, until late 2021 and early 2022, when more members were admitted. Among the first include [[Painted Indigo]] and [[Yoshi]].
 
By late 2021 and early 2022, the family was considered a noble family of Quebec (TN), a title which it still upholds on Terra Nova. The family was considered the ruling organization of Albany (TN), alongside the Quebec Solidarity Party (TN).
 
When Terra Aurora opened, the Volkov Family followed. It created the town of Albany, in Indochina. On Terra Aurora however, it restructured itself to be a cartel-like organization, not belonging to any banner other than the Albany community.

It has members across the planet, with interests in politics, business, finance, and media. It has existed since January 2021. It is currently led by LogolWaffle, king of Borneo. The Volkovs also claim to be the rightful descendants of the Quebec Imperial Dynasty, and lay de jure claim to the throne of Imperial Quebec.

The family temporarily operated as an organized crime entity from May 2022 until November 2022. It made money through gold duping, extortion, and falsifying bans. The crime wave ended on November 12, 2022 when AdrianHES was banned for evidence forgery. By early 2023, it had shifted back into a completely legitimate organization.
