On July 22nd, 2024, the Cascadian discord was nuked by Texas. This was because Cascadia and Texas were at war in a war known as the Great North American War. On August 9, 2026, members of the nation of Australia nuked the discord for "The Global Chat", a podcast started by DekuFullCowling, dedicated to EarthMC. By the time of the nuke, he has since quit EarthMC and had passed down the discord server to GuyWithALife. Eventually, on the day on the nuking, a couple members of Australia, likely including nahember and Nearings(formerly Panth_rr), mass banned members of the discord, bringing the member count from 250~ to under 30, although the content in the discord was left relatively unharmed. The motives aren't known at the time of writing, though Deku, the founder of the podcast, suffered a major scandal around the time of his quitting, which may be related. | |||
