The Skirmish of Halaib was a fight between Ancient Egypt and Nubia on the 16th January 2021. It lasted about 15 minutes, resulting in no deaths.

The fight started after louisdek noticed a new Nubian town, Halaib, in Ancient Egyptian claims (a disputed region, also claimed by Nubia). He would head over and attack, with Nubian backup quickly coming. However, little resulted of the skirmish other than the two nations enemying each other temporarily and a negative talk between Nubian and Ancient Egyptian leadership.

Background

Nubia and Ancient Egypt both claimed the Hala'ib triangle region, similar to the real life border dispute between Sudan and Egypt. On January 15th/16th, a small town was placed by Nubia, on the advise of gorkymoo1119 and twomoo1119, in an attempt to backup their claims. Later, on the 16th of January, Ancient Egypt would notice, trying to speak to the mayor. However, this resulted in nothing, and louisdek went to attack.

Fighting

Initially, it was just stiiiiick and louisdek fighting. However, backup quickly went over to help the Nubian side, first arrival being the Emperor, twomoo1119. Some fighting would take place whilst other Nubians arrived, who would contribute a small amount to the skirmish.

About 7 minutes into the skirmish, iksteeljouhoofd noticed and went over. Louisdek would go into claims after seeing iksteeljouhoofd's arrival, along with several other Nubians. Some fighting would take place between louisdek, twomoo1119, StarKiller1744 and iksteeljouhoofd before louisdek teleported and later left the game.

Aftermath

After the skirmish, a small negative verbal exchange would take between Nubian and Ancient Egyptian leadership, with nothing coming out of it. The nations would also enemy one another in-game to prevent further attacks.
