Aurora:Zedascoubes

zedascoubes is a Portuguese player that joined EarthMC in 2021. He played in both Terra Nova and Terra Aurora maps.
Back in Terra Nova, zedascoubes was elected by the brazilian people for a single mandate as senator. In Terra Aurora, on the other hand, he was mayor of Leiria, Portugal, for more than 7 months and he is currently the mayor of Évora, Portugal, since July 5th, 2023.
He has also participated in many projects in EarthMC, such as the Brazil Netherways and the brazilian elections for the Senate in Terra Nova, as well as the foundation of Portugal, the great development of Leiria and the foundation of Évora in Terra Aurora.
History
Terra Nova
Before joining Terra Aurora, zedascoubes had already been part of Terra Nova.
The First Steps in Brazil
He met a Brazilian player, Marechall, while waiting in the queue to join the map for the first time. This player introduced him to Olivio90, the emperor of Brazil, who recommended him the town of France, as its co-mayor was also a nice portuguese guy called ArtistGames.
Later he was invited to Nova Lisboa, Brazil, where he would stay with the mayor, underrrr, for almost all of the rest of his time in that map. Both ArtistGames and underrrr would then reunite with him in Terra Aurora.
Involvement in the Community
During his time in Brazil, he always fought to connect every Brazilian town and make it easier to travel inside the country. That's why he highly improved the nation's Netherways by connecting every existing Brazilian town at the time - and some extint ones - with obsidian paths through the Nether, adding to the few paths that were already built. He also founded the 5-lines system (Lines West, South, Centre, North and East) which helped locating each town's portal in the Netherways' map.
He was elected for a mandate as senator not long before leaving the server.
The Exhile Issue
Meanwhile, underrrr decided to sell his town, Nova Lisboa, leaving behind Brazil due to some disagreements between him and the emperor Olivio90. So he headed towards an ambicious plan in Africa, the foundation of Iberian Angola. He invited zedascoubes to join him, but the senator denied because of his interest in Brazil's politics. Nevertheless, zedascoubes would always keep his friendship and a close contact with the founder of Iberian Angola.
He ended up falling into inactivity and leaving Terra Nova permanently not long after.
Terra Aurora
As soon as it was known that a new map - Terra Aurora - would be created, the former viceroy of Iberian Angola saw a chance to finally establish a community in Portugal and actually claiming the Portuguese territory for the Portuguese people, unlike in Terra Nova where Portugal was fully claimed by its neighbor country Spain. This was not an easy plan at all. Regarding that, he decided to contact many people that crossed paths with him back in Terra Nova, one of them being zedascoubes.
Back on Tracks
He was hesitant at first. However, as summer holidays were getting closer, he decided to give the server a chance once again. When zedascoubes came back, he was warmly welcomed and got immediately integrated in the nation's projects, especially the common effort to expand and claim as much of the Portuguese territory as possible.
He firstly became resident in the town of Porto, on May 14th, 2022, where he would build his first home with a friend, Frscf793. A month and 4 days later, the mayor of Lisboa (previous name of Leiria), BeyondReturn, felt bored for playing only by himself in the town and wanted to leave it. That's when the King, underrrr, reached to zedascoubes suggesting him to be the new mayor, which he accepted.
When zedascoubes left Porto, on June 18th, 2022, he made sure that his previous home could add something to the town by building a beach bar named Tasca "Lado" (a pun in portuguese that can be roughly translated to Shut Up).
Leiria
The first issue zedascoubes had to deal in the town was changing its name Lisboa (portuguese name of Lisbon) to Leiria, as there was already a town named Lisbon, the capital of the Portuguese Realm. With a generous gold donation from the king, it was no big deal.
The following days were mainly based on planning, expanding and exploring the land. As zedascoubes took the charge of the town from a really early point and due to the development held in his ruling period he is considered, effectively, the founder of Leiria.
Beach
A matter of great interest to the newly appointed mayor was the coast of Leiria. From the beginning, zedascoubes made sure that the coastal chunks would be public, establishing a beautiful beach in the town.
Reconstruction of Castelo do Queijo
At first, Castelo do Queijo was located between a mount and the coast. As zedascoubes intended to preserve that mount, he decided to build the Town Hall above it. He then noticed that buildings too high would compromise the visibility of Leiria's central building and reached an agreement with oscargoty - the owner of Castelo do Queijo - to change his home location. The emblematic second version of Castelo do Queijo, despite being slightly different from the previous one, can still be visited on the town's coast.
As a result of the most recent analysis of Leiria's territory planning, carried out by the Municipality of Leiria, the plot that until then housed the emblematic Castelo do Queijo was considered a "strategic place" of the city, so it would be under a stricter set of construction rules.
As such - and to prevent future problems - an agreement was established between the owner and the Town Council of rebuilding the construction in another location.
I would like to express my gratitude for the patriotic sacrifice of our fellow citizen oscargoty and wish him a good job in this remodeling of the old Castelo do Queijo.

Town Hall
Dear Leirians,
I hereby announce that the construction of our Town Hall is nearing the end, so I am delighted to invite you to follow the evolution of these facilities in their final stretch.
The second part of this press release is intended for all Portuguese people who, being also invited to visit the almost completed Town Hall building, should be aware of the most recent initiative by the Municipality of Leiria to display, at the entrance of the main building, the names and respective titles/contributions of Honorary Persons and Donors/Contributors who helped the town! Following are the photographic records made.

Leather Industry
In spite of the great development of Leiria in terms of infrastructure, the town had no income other than donations, especially from its mayor. To solve that, zedascoubes decided to invest in the production of leather, a highly demanded resource in the market. Thus, an underground network for cows raising was set up, which extended over an area of 130 chunks.
Prince ArtistGames, who was in charge of the nation shop, spared a space for the leather sale. The competitive prices led to great economic prosperity for the town, therefore causing its tremendous expansion.
The Municipality of Leiria hereby announces that the sale of our leather, known for its unparalleled quality, has become a reality again, now in the recently opened national store.
Thus, and thanking the presence and assistance of His Excellency Prince ArtistGames at this inauguration, I invite all Leirienses to visit the exuberant national store and, now particularly, the leather sales area.

Change of Administration
With the beggining of a new year, zedascoubes ended up not having much time to spend on EarthMC, becoming progressively more inactive until finally being deleted from the server on February 5th, 2023, after being in charge of the town for more than 7 months.
His ruling era in Leiria left a legacy of great projects like Leiria's beaches, the Town Hall building, the Leather Industry, Mondego River, conceived by FTbD, and the Town's Church, built by vksman. zedascoubes was then succeeded by FTbD in the role of mayor of the town.
Good afternoon, dear governors, councilors and leirienses,
I hereby formally announce the end of my mandate as Mayor of Leiria. Every moment has been great since the start of the new map. It was amazing to follow the foundation of our country, the cities and the whole surrounding process. It was worth it.
Sadly, for the last few months it has been impossible for me to be as active as I used to be. There was no shortage of ideas and will, the community on this server, and especially the Portuguese one, is outstanding. But things are just like that and now it makes perfect sense to talk about the future and not the past: With all legitimacy, and with my particular appreciation, the new President is FTbD. He who always wanted to be involved in the city's projects and who, now, can be much freer to administer and build our land.
I wish the new administration every success and maintain great confidence and expectations in it. As you know, I won't be here much, but I don't intend to leave the server completely, let's call it a "pause".

Évora
As summer was comming up once again, zedascoubes was able to return to the server, after nearly 5 months of inactivity. He then was invited to Leiria by FTbD and proceeded to help him in his projects for the town.
Eventually, the Portuguese town of Sagres fell into ruin and someone was needed to create a new town and reclaim that wild area. That's when FTbD, aware of zedascoubes' skills in town management, suggested him to be the one holding the new town - Évora - until a new mayor was found.
zedascoubes would not only take the challenge, but also make great plans and develop the town where he has been the mayor since its foundation, on July 5th, 2023.
Évora's Underground
It is with great pleasure that Évora's Townhall announces the official opening of the Underground Yellow Line to the eborenses and to all our fellow citizens. In this way, all Portuguese citizens are invited to visit and enjoy the space from now on.

Great Urbanization
Évora City Hall hereby announces major developments.
Firstly, it is with great pleasure that we reach the mark of 40 residents, having officially been awarded the status of city to Évora! It is extremely satisfying to analyze these achievements, particularly because Évora leaves no one behind and provides all residents with a housing plot. The well-being of the population is essential.
Then, we inform our residents that all houses in the land part of the city are now properly connected by roads, built in the style of Leiria's road network, implemented by His Excellency the Mayor FTbD. These roads stand out for being modern, practical and accessible, which is why the Municipality of Évora opted for the same model.
Finally, it is with great pride that we inaugurate the Undersea District in Évora. Given that the land area is very limited, there was a need to expand the city to the west and provide underwater housing plots to the people of Évora. It should be noted that these plots are under stricter construction rules and cannot interfere in any way with the ocean. Thus, it is forbidden to build and/or destroy any block in the space above the y = 17 layer, conveniently marked with acacia leaves at its lower boundary. On the other hand, underground construction is highly encouraged and there is no limitation in this matter.

- Frscf793 is a great friend of zedascoubes. They lived in the same house in Porto, Portugal and after that he joined zedascoubes' Leiria for a while until he was deleted for inactivity.
- BeyondReturn was the previous mayor of Leiria (called Lisboa at the time) and he made sure that zedascoubes would have all the help he needed to develop the town.
- oscargoty is also a great friend of zedascoubes. When zedascoubes became the mayor of Leiria, he was always there for him to help in the town's projects. He is the builder of the famous Castelo do Queijo.
- Cycren was the mayor of Lugo when zedascoubes was the mayor of Leiria. This player built an ice road that connected the Portuguese Continental towns, making it easier to travel between Leiria and the other neighbor towns. It is currently used as the metro/underground of Portugal.

- yTpFaiXx_ was one of the first residents of zedascoubes' Leiria. His interest and nice buildings in the town are notable.
- FTbD joined zedascoubes' Leiria in a really active period of the town. He immediately started developing projects in the town and has always been a big fan of representing some real life lndmarks in Leiria's territory, like Mondego River, Castelo Branco, the Sanctuary of Fátima and others. He has been great friends with zedascoubes ever since and even succeeded him as mayor of the town.
