Cairo
Cairo is the capital of Egypt, and is the nation's largest city. Located on the Nile Delta, the town was founded on 2 May 2022 and a day later on 3 May 2022 became the Capital of Egypt. Cairo has long been a centre of the Middle Eastern region, and is titled "the city of a thousand minarets".
History
Ancient settlement (2 May 2022 - 15 May 2022)
During the early days of Terra Aurora, settlements were founded near the Great Bitter Lake (Modern day Suez) by the Ancient Egyptians who planned to recreate Egypt, the same as how they did on Terra Nova. However, the area where Cairo lies today was not settled and caught the interest of the former Indochinese from Terra Nova and Cairo was settled by them on 2 May 2022 with Fluxeeh as mayor.
As both groups rushed to collect gold to create a nation for themselves to become the first Egyptian nation, political schisms began to happen between them which caused the Suez Crisis. The former Indochinese managed to create a nation a day later on 3 May which disrupted the Ancient Egyptian plans to create a nation for themselves and all of their towns were purchased by Indochinese (known now as Egyptians).
Due to the crisis, gold was acquired by Cairo and Egypt at an increased rate which caused Cairo to grow at a very fast rate leading up to the public release of Terra Aurora.
Dawn era (15 May 2022 - 10 June 2022)
With the public release of Terra Aurora, hundreds of people flocked to join the server and Cairo's population began to grow and the town started to expand quickly. Several buildings were built and construction plans were drawn up for the town as well but due to priorities focusing mainly on gaining gold, they never came to fruition.
Decline of Cairo and Egypt (10 June 2022 - 20 August 2022)
Over time, Cairo and Egypt began to struggle and fall into inactivity, Fluxeeh and other key members of Egypt lost motivation to play and Cairo's population plummeted. With territorial losses in Sinai and towns leaving Egypt, Fluxeeh announced his abdication in favor of Lumpeeh on 20 August 2022. This meant that Cairo was placed under Lumpeeh's jurisdiction and plans for the capital city were changed and development was beginning to happen.
