TheKaroo was an EarthMC Terra Nova player. On Terra Nova, he was notable as the King of Namibia and the mayor of Matjiesfontein, the capital of the nation.
History
Starting Off (Nova)
TheKaroo spawned into the server with a strong desire to settle in southern Africa. When he spawned in, he was surrounded by a dense forrest, and after a while, he realized that he was in the direct center of Russia. He immediately went south, where he eventually made it to the Arabian Sea, entering the waters surrounding Pakistan. He then travelled along the African coast, stopping at deserted towns for food. Eventually he made it to the southern tip of Africa, settling in the Cape Winelands. After being on the server for a couple days, he founded the town of Cape_Town with his friends, along with the help of the leaders of the nation Kalahari. The leaders of Kalahari decided to give up their nation and give it to TheKaroo, resulting in a nation name change to Western_Cape. This frustrated the leaders of Kaapkust, a neighboring nation that had high tensions with Kalahari. Kaapkust claimed that they then declared war on TheKaroo and his nation and had succeedingly won, which are all lies.
Namibia/Botswana (Nova)
After being harassed by Kaapkust, TheKaroo moved north into the Kalahari Desert and founded the town of Matjiesfontein. He initially joined the nation of Nubia and later established his own nation, Namibia, which remained a colony of Nubia. At the time, Mikevanzyl—TheKaroo’s main right-hand man—founded the town of Swakopmund, which eventually became the capital of a newly formed nation, Botswana. However, because Matjiesfontein was geographically located within Botswana’s borders, TheKaroo and Mikevanzyl agreed to swap nations: TheKaroo assumed leadership of Botswana, while Mikevanzyl took control of Namibia. Following this exchange, Botswana grew rapidly, with notable towns such as Bashivo, Johannesburg, and many others being established.
Namibia and Botswana were close trading partners, each contributing significantly to each other's economic success. TheKaroo's Botswana was Africa's top Haste producer. Mikevanzyl's Namibia specialized in sheep delivery and transportation all over the world.
Time Spent As Colony Of Nubia (Nova)
Despite Botswana being their own nation, TheKaroo decided that it would be best for Botswana to remain a colony of Nubia for protection and stability. During TheKaroo's time in Nubia, he opened a Botswana shop in the capital of Nubia, El Obeid, which had decent success. TheKaroo decided to also participate in the election for Nubia's Secretary of Defense position, as TheKaroo believed that he could contribute greatly to Nubia’s military operations, especially after being part of a recent battle, the Siege of Azula, leading up to the election. However, he lost the election and claimed that the loss was due to corruption and discrimination against colonial leaders who were not directly part of Nubia. To the right is propaganda posted by TheKaroo during his election campaign.
Rhodesia (Nova)
TheKaroo, looking to expand his nation and take over the area of Kaapkust, chose to move the capital of Botswana to the area of Zimbabwe. In doing so, he renamed his nation of Botswana to Rhodesia, and decided to split his leadership of the nation and appoint FonderLightning as the Vice President of the country. Eventually, TheKaroo gave the leadership of the nation to FonderLightning, the mayor of Bashivo, believing that he could bring Rhodesia to its highest potential. Rhodesia thrived and was strong leading up to the EarthMC reset in 2022.
