The Monthly Report is a discord news station which uniquely, observes a single nation for a months time, documenting their national and international news into one single channel.

The Monthly Report offers several forms of news including but not limited to: observing a single nation for a month, exclusive podcast interviews with EMC players and non fiction and fiction articles/stories on EMC events.

Chronological Order of Events

Founding

The Monthly Report was founded on March 14th of 2024 by mandimcflyyt who stated that he came up with the idea "in writing class", Mandi quickly advertised the new news station and gained 30 members within 3 days. Mandi also started the first wave of nations which were Cascadia, the Philippines and Australia.

Invite Competition

Following chronological order, the first TMR invite competition was announced with the prizes being as followed: 1st place gained one month nitro, with 2nd and 3rd place getting a one month basic nitro plan. The competition ended with The Walking Banks, Princeling7 and Panth_r winning and securing the prizes.

Ownership Changes

When founder Mandi was finally unbanned from the EMC Minecraft server, he decided to step down as owner and give the news station to his head staff Hetansh. Hetansh promptly sold the organization just 3 days later to Epistolarian for a total of 292 EMC gold. Epistolarian got straight to work and added stocks, making TMR a public company, changed the logo due to a lack of copyright over the old logo and put in new place many more new systems. After almost a week of owning TMR Epistolarian yet again sold the company to MasterEWild in its entirety. MasterEWild aimed to buy TMR due to wanting to in his words "wanting to bring it back to its former glory, its meant to be a news station and not a company". After MasterEWild bought TMR he updated the Management Team, adding Panth_r and Capitranfra as well as the founder Mandi, removed stocks, reverted the logo, added a new role and automated things with bots, MasterEWild currently still owns The Monthly Report.

TMR holds podcasts with notable EMC players to ask them about their experiences and learn more about how they got to where they are today. Currently, there are 4 episodes of The Monthly Report's podcasts with episodes on Dracnoian, olsaritsu, Princeling7 and MasterEWild.

Articles aim to inform or entertain the general public on matters related to EMC. Currently, 2 articles have been written by Panth_r and Capitanfra respectively.

Nation Observations

As mentioned earlier, The Monthly Report's main focus is to observe a nation's news for one month and log it into a channel, typically TMR has several nations going at once. This style allows for EMC players to get a unique spin on the typical EMC news type. All nation's that have been reported on are as follows in no particular order: Santa Cruz, the Persian Empire, Kola, Havaiki, Cascadia, Australia, the Philippines, Zealandia, Vermont and Dian. At the moment the nations are, Zealandia, Vermont and Dian.

Polls

Sometimes, polls are made by writers to get information on what the community thinks on a specific topic. These polls are meant to help writers and engage readers.

TMR intends to continue to grow and adapt to continue to take a unique spin on news and provide quality work for the EMC community.
