History

Early History (January to February of 2020)

Birth in Nepal

Matthew_Hodges originally joined under the name 1203927 in Nepal, made some basic tools, and walked eastwards to Bangladesh and from there, China. He still had no concept of the teleportation system at the time.

Entrance Into Qing

Once he joined the server, he was invited into the nation of Qing by Mr_X1234 into LiaoYang (now fallen and claimed by Japan) and got his first taste of what it was like to live in a nation. From there he was given a set of armor and built up gold and armor.

Death in Fiji

Around this time in February of 2020, Matthew (at the time called "Mat") was in one of the voice channels, and teleported to Fiji due to one of the citizens in the Qing voice call saying there was free stone. However, he was unaware of MineTurtle795's activities there, and was killed with a nearly-finished God set of armor, Maxed Axe, Maxed Pickaxe, and Mending/Unbreaking III Shield. This has led to trust issues, with him keeping all of his gear in his Ender Chest unless needed, a habit that still somewhat continues to today.

Mid-Year (March to July of 2020)

Transfer to Qiqihar

Around March of 2020, Matthew_Hodges moved over to Qiqihar, soon becoming a Councilor and right-hand man for the mayor of the town PotatoInSpace. Later into the month, Potato was able to purchase the now-defunct nation of Gold_Coast in West Africa, granting mayorship of Qiqihar to Matthew. This all came to a head on April 1st, 2020 when PotatoInSpace gave the order to delete the town to Matthew, which was subsequently followed.

Turmoil in Qiqihar

Directly after this, the news of the deletion was heard by the Emperor of Qing (Mr_X1234), who was understandably pissed due to Qiqihar being a very strategicly positioned, being situated east of Motician_City (Now Asia), and west of LiaoYang. Escorted by Mr_X, the town was partly reclaimed, but soon was rolled back due to a glitch. The gold was refunded but Mr_X let Mat keep the funds due to most of Qing leaving the server for reasons of inactivity and one of the major members being banned for duping.

Migration to the Philippines

After Qing practically collapsed (but wasn't officially disbanded), 1203927 decided to move his items to an embassy in Pyongyang (at the time part of the Duel Republic of Korea) and created a town at the Northern tip of the Philippines, named Aparri. Here he led a life in solitude, ordering some animals along the way, but not mingling in the politics or arguments of the server. Eventually Aparri was invited to join the nation Filipinas, which was joined mainly out of convenience and not out of any particular loyalty.

The End of Aparri

Due to Mathew setting the main plot at Aparri as an "Inn" without knowing what it did, everything valuable in the town was stolen. This included a few Mending books, End Crystals, incomplete Diamond Armor sets, Turtle Eggs, Beehives, and more. This event was discouraging enough that he logged off to resume playing on his main anarchy server (hint: not 2b2t).

New Beginnings (Nov. 2020 to Present)

Return to EarthMC

On November 19 of 2020, 1203927 returned to the server after months of inactivity under the new name Matthew_Hodges. When he returned, he saw many things had changed such as how his town didn't exist, Qing no longer was a nation, and Korea was partly owned by Japan. From here he was invited to join Mersa of Nubia, where he lived for a short time. Later in his time in Nubia, he was able to obtain an embassy in Asia and transferred his items there, originally planning to make a new town inbetween Asia and LiaoYang. But just as luck had it, a gold drop was hosted in Madagascar, and from that Matthew got 64 Gold Blocks along with some other expensive items.

The Creation of the PRC

By another bout of luck, the player Kolleen just-so happened to be selling off their nation which was situated in Western China, at the time named 4.1ContactStaff due to the rule violation. From there Matthew_Hodges bought the town of Dornan, and renamed it to Guizhou with the nation becoming the People's Republic of China.
