Kanye

The Imperial City of Kanye, previously known as Derby and originally known as Achilla, is the capital of the Great Euphoria Empire based in Western Canada. It was originally a hut made by an unknown player, and it was planned to be a satellite of the Valkyrian Hegemony in Autumn 2020, however it was finally chosen to be the capital of a new Columbian Empire which would have the town as it's heart. It is also the holiest city in all of Dreddism.

History

Pre-History

Not much is known about the original settlers of the Kanye site as they didn't leave any written records, however what is known is that their, probably less than 3 people culture, is that it was primitive at best, with buildings being made out of leaves and wood, and utilizing basic stone tools.

At the time of it's discovery, the site only consisted of a single, roof-less house.

Valkyrian Tributary

The town of Valkyria was made during June 2020, quickly establishing hegemony over its surroundings, and specifically creating a tribute system which was legally questionable in Cascadia, it's mother nation.

The start of this tribute system came with the player BikiniBottoms_, a friend of the Valkyrian Hegemon, Dornan_. Bikini wanted to join Dornan's "nation" but wanted a separate town, so during the following days, Dornan would explore the surroundings to look for a suitable site. One of the suitable locations was the Kanye site although it was turned down by Bikini due to it being too close to Valkyria and the "less than optimal" terrain. Bikini would eventually settle west of Valkyria making a town called Ba_Sing_Se which was replaced by the Prince George town of Rivia after the former fell.

Dornan, however, thought the Kanye site had potential as a regional capital and this dream would come into fruition a few months afterward.

Founding

Due to Dornan's infamous 2 Day Presidency in Cascadia, he had to leave Valkyria, and handed the leadership to hohae, this was the last time he was ever in the town of Valkyria. After the coup, he was townless, and he thought Valkyria wasn't enough for his ambition of a grand, planned capital.

He eventually planned out and made the town of Achilla in the 23rd of September, 2020, building it's forum, which is one of the only original buildings left standing from this era.

The roman-themed town quickly grew outside of the planned areas which prompted free-handed builds which arguably worsened the town. That, alongside a desire to make a sci-fi theme mix into the classical architecture, frustrated Dornan who started building in a different direction to what was originally intended. This change of pace required the deforesting of large plots of land and subsequent claiming of it, making Achilla touch Valkyria's claims sooner than expected.

First Interregnum

Dornan ran (legally) for the presidency of Cascadia during September and governed the country trough October 2020. Achilla fell to the hands of Valkyrian co-founder Skyling_Saiyan who held the town trough the month.

Much of the town was still owned by Dornan and he kept on expanding it by building and by giving Skyling gold to claim, whilst still saving up to make the nation.

Foundation

Dornan quit the presidency a few hours before it was officially over and took a loan from Jester_BBX to claim land before he made the nation, this would, unadvertedly, transform into a shortly lived PVP shitfest sponsored by both Jester and Dornan in the town which saw the town gain artifacts from defeated players in the arena.
