Nova:Great Euphoria Empire

The Great Euphoria Empire (also referred to as The Euphoric Empire or The Columbian Empire) is a meganation based on large scale exploitation and theocratic ideals. It was founded on the pillars of the former Columbian Empire by Dornan_ on the 12th of November 2021. The Empire models itself after medieval cults and guilds, following the Cult of Dredd. As of March 2022, it controls most of the land in Western Canada.

History

Background

Further information: Columbia and Columbia-Haida

During most of it's history, Columbia had been a part of the Cascadian Meganation as a province, however during the events of the Klondike Exodus, the province grew further from Cascadia, which led to the province's independence on the 16th of September, 2021.

Foundation

Due to internal strife, the country's governmental structure was remade which prompted Dornan to re-found the nation with the name of the "Great Euphoria Empire" on the 12th of November, 2021.

The First Klondike Rebellion

Klondike was originally governed by GreenyDuck in Kamloops (Whitehorse) however due to personal issues the governor left the province's reigns to PaintedIndigo_ which governed from Telkwa.

The country's state was less than optimal during much of the latter half of 2021, and a lack of change prompted Klondike's governor, Paintedindigo_ to choose between joining Cascadia or staying in Euphoria. The decision was made over a coinflip with Euphoria loosing the bet, however a day later, Cascadia would reject Klondike which made Klondike rejoin Euphoria.

This event would eventually lead to the Second Klondike Rebellion however in the meantime it only changed Klondike's status from a province to a territory.

Euphoria's Peak

Klondike's rebellion made Dornan reconsider the government and during a short period of time, he would recruit in the newly-renamed capital Kanye (previously Derby and Achilla). A proper government was established with the help of Xyyz0, Megapatato and PaintedIndigo.

This period would be the very peak of an independent Euphoria with relative stability in the nation.

Second Klondike Rebellion

During the first days of 2022, Dornan would randomly ban Paintedindigo from the nation's discord server and unban them shortly thereafter. Painted, however, would not rejoin until the latter half of January with mixed feelings, repeating the word "Thinking".

The camel's back broke on the 22nd of January 2022, with Painted cutting ties with Euphoria and joining Quebec. A few days after, Painted would contact Dornan to negotiate a border. Negotiations between Dornan and Quebecois officials took place in early February however they did not lead to anything.

Back in the Saddle

Xyyz expressed interest in becoming president of the neighboring Cascadia, as he was backed by Cascadian OG's and was the only real good candidate thanks to Cheeks's disappointing January term. Xyyz would relay this interest to Dornan which at first was suspicious of the plot however he would accept Xyyz's intentions.

The Praetor would leave Euphoria on the 23rd of January and he became president of Cascadia on the 1st of February. This massive event would yet again tie Euphoria and Cascadia together, and on the 13th, Euphoria would rejoin Cascadia, and a day later it would become a founding member of the Evergreen Republic.

Emperor Dornan re-implementing slavery after it was ruled out by Evergreen officials.

During this time, Megapatato would create his own province called "Columbia River".

Euphoria would become more and more theocratic in nature and it is currently on the process of a massive restructuring of the governing body.

Society

Euphoria is first and foremost a fanatical society led by Dornan. As the Empire grows both in notoriety and land area, Dornan's ideals spread. This can be seen with the spread of Freddie Dredd and the spread of the "Columbian Uniform" through the server, famously worn by members of Socotra and the player RollinsLiverpool.

The spread of toxicity in the West Coast can also be traced back to Euphoria, with various members of the nation partaking in a bit of tomfoolery.

Cult of Dredd

The Empire follows the Cult of Dredd, based on the worship of the God of the Putrid Underground, Freddie Dredd. It's main ideals are the annihilation of self control, widespread slavery (or otherwise called "servitude"), substance abuse, and the spread of the religion by violent means. It is an exaggerated and over-the-top view of Dornan's ideas, with these being similar but not as brutal as the Cult's virtues.

The nation's capital, Kanye, is host to the holiest site to the religion, Camdropz's Tomb, and is the host of the Church of Obungle, the only Dreddist Church and the headquarters of the cult. Euphoria's government requires their members to be followers of the Cult and partake in church activities.

The cult's heavy reliance on violence to spread has led Euphoria to be militaristic to further the Cult's goals.

Architecture

The nation's capital is infamous for its various style-changes and destruction of Historical Buildings. During it's first days, the nation had a distinctive Roman style, with large arches conmemorating the Emperor and a Temple ( called the Temple of Decay) which would later become the Nemu Residence. The style underwent a massive change of pace however, due to the cost of the main building material, quartz, skyrocketing, prompting Dornan to build using the next best thing, Sandstone.

Part of the Planned "Imperial" District

Kanye is now infamous for it's heavy reliance on sandstone-derived builds and it is still a landmark feature of the Capital. The style itself became a mix of Neo-Classical and Gothic. The first build in this style was the now-destroyed Achilla Library, which was followed by the Mudkipz Station and the very first Dreddist Church, in which the latter half of Dornan's Coronation took place. The only build left from this early neo-classical period is the giant Capitol Building which, after more than a year, is still unfinished.

During this early period the spawn of the nation was moved to a more open location in which Camdropz's tomb now sits. It became host of Camdropz Square and the builds in it are constantly evolving, with many like the Enclave HQ being demolished as Dornan's interests swayed.

Kanye is now split in 4 distinctive styles. A neoclassical, sandstone style, which is host of most of the governmental buildings. An "Imperial", white style, which is currently under construction. The ruins of the original roman builds. And a planned, Medieval district.
