Overview
GuyWithALife (spawned September 12, 2024) is a Cascadian politician who served as Secretary of State of Cascadia from March to April 2025. He has also served as Prime Minister and founding father of Finnmark and Fennoskandia, has been High Judge and PM in Baltic, and has served as Secretary General within the OFN. GuyWithALife also served as the 32nd Vice President of Cascadia under President MasterEWild.
The Second Baltic Republic
GuyWithALife began his journey by joining Aurora:Baltic in September 12th. He soon after met 28st, with whom he had ties long ago. GuyWithALife was soon converted into a spy for 28st and was given the goal to collapse the nation, and steal its gold.
GuyWithALife fought against Xultimate290bc and CFRhino in a election, in which he won a approximate quarter of the vote, with Xultimate getting nearly 60% and CFRhino getting the rest. He soon after formed a coalition with Xultimate, and helped him get into the government. GuyWithALife, seeking a alternative method to achieve power and influence Baltic law, became a Judge for the nation. He, with the help of ForgotNameAGAIN and Pufl quickly managed to reform the nations laws and create a judiciary of a sort, however flawed it still was.
Soon after the end of his election against Xultimate, GuyWithALife met KosmikKaktus, who at the time was a banned player returning to EarthMC politics. He was soon banned from the Baltic discord for telling the nations leaders to end their war with Russian Empire (Terra Aurora), which was going on for a bit at this point. GuyWIthALife, sensing a opportunity, soon reached out to KosmikKaktus, and with him, PheonixDude and Qvidos devised a plan to form a nation. They, by siphoning Baltic funds, managed to collect enough gold to buy a nation from ForgotNameAGAIN, which they renamed to Finnmark.
GuyWithALife ran, this time his main advisaries being CFRhino and The_Estonian_Guy. This election ended in most other candidates backing one of the two sides, and with GuyWithALife winning by a total of 3 votes. Around a week after, with GuyWithALife getting threatened by Qvidos, ended up resigning as Prime Minister, revealing his actions, and leaving the nation. The aftermath of this was swift and extreme. The Baltic nation, unable to continue existing with the constant internal pressure from CFRhino and other meganation members, and external pressure from Finnmark, ended up dissolving, making the nation a anarchy and its capital leaving to join the Netherlands.
Finnmark, Fennoskandia, and the OFN
GuyWithALife moved to Finnmark, where PhoenixDude was working to build the nation up. GuyWithALife made Vadso, which he inhabited and developed in this time.
In this time, the nation saw massive development, gaining citizens and expanding rapidly, partially funded with around 3000 gold donated by a anonymous benefactor. The nation had issues however, with Finnmark fighting against Vironia over the town of Rokland. Most importantly however, was that the nation of Scandinavia, owned by CFRhino, began a fight for power over the North which lasted until the banning of CFRhino.
The nations mostly squabbled over land and ideology, with CFRhino's alleged grooming of individuals being a severe cause for the conflict. At this time, Scandinavia was assisted by The_Estonian_Guy, who in return for payment offered the service of using his holder army to invade Finnmark. The war took a toll on Finnmark, which had issues to maintain its populous with recruiting becoming more and more of a hassle, and with CFRhino stealing their residents.
Finnmark, looking for assistance against their invader, joined the OFN. The alliance accepted Finnmark with open arms, and GuyWithALife soon forming relationships with key individuals for his eventual move to Cascadia. The alliance, however, had issues with abandonment, and Vermont nearly threatened to leave the alliance over this event.
The war ended with KosmikKaktus and SlipperySalmon14 working together to discover CFRhino's actions, in what could be described as a sting operation. CFRhino was shortly banned hereafter. Finnmark, free from the issues of their war, formed Fennoscandia with Cacik_ and his nation of Aurora:Lapland. The nation stayed in the OFN for a while, ending their involvement in the Withdrawal, in which multiple nations withdrew from the alliance in response to instability and the alleged possibility of a Nubia-Pilbara war. GuyWIthALife was informed by KosmikKaktus of the fact that a Nubia-Pilbara war was a likelihood, and GuyWithALife, in response, decided to attempt and remove the nation from the alliance, which led to a mass withdrawal. GuyWithALife was forced to resign, with Owry leading the charge, and Owry took over as the Secretary General after this event.
