The Grand Maritime Federation

The Grand Maritime Federation of Pissists, more commonly known as Pissist Union, GMFP or PU, is a meganation on North America composed of Avalon, Acadia and Labrador. The meganation was founded on September 28th. 2021 with the Bactrian Crusade, a Pissism crusade. The meganation was created to boost cooperation between the member nations.Template:Avalon template made by No Jewtsu The GMFP currently has three nations on it: Acadia, Avalon and Labrador. Combined, they have 307 residents and 2.346 chunks. If the three nations were to merge, they would make it to /n list 1. The official religion of the Federation is Pissism, which has been the official religion of the founding nations since time immemorial. The idea for the Pissist Union was born as a joke between SaltedSuris and Nethermite13, the then leaders of Labrador and Acadia.

History

Background (April 7th, 2019 - September 28th, 2021.)

Historic events before the conception of the GMFP (April 7th, 2019 - August 2021)

On April 7th, 2019, Pee Pee Island was established by Dabs_All_OvarYT and, on the 26th, Riley_McDonut founded Dildo. Although the towns had a rocky start, Dabs and Riley founded Avalon on June 13th, 2019. On May 17th, 2020, Acadia was founded by Nethermite13 and remained a close ally of its father nation. Lastly, on August 2nd, 2021, SaltedSuris founded Labrador and, similar to Acadia, remained a close ally to Avalon.

The idea is born (August, 2021 - September 12th, 2021)

Around the end of August and beggining of September 2021, while joking around, Nethermite13 told SaltedSuris they should make a Pissist Union, with the title being inspired by the religion of Pissism. The idea quickly escalated and the GMFP Discord was created by Nethermite on September 12, 2021.

GMFP Discord is made public

On September 12, in preparation for the creation of the Federation, Avalon and Labrador left Greater Québec. After the creation of the Discord Server, mnay members were invited to the server before it was made public. The members are, from oldest to newest:

After the server was fully set up, Nethermite decided it was time to make the Discord public. He posted the announcement on the Discord servers of Avalon, Acadia and Labrador. Template:Quote (Matthi3000 ) Many people started joining, and the date for the declaration of the Union was announced: September 28th, 2021, at 5pm EST.

Founding days (September 28th, 2021 - Present day)

The Bactrian crusade

When the time came, everyone joined the voice channel (VC). Nethermite, Matty and Salted attended, as they were the leaders of the three member nations. The Dildo's Dildo was decorated with yellow and white stained glass to celebrate the event. At 5:00 PM EST, Nether ordered everyone to say "pp" in chat. The spamming of the message marked the proclamation of the Federation.

After this, the place for the crusade had to be set. At the end, Bactria was decided as the location of the crusade. Bactria was chosen because griefers from their nation griefed Pee Pee Island, the birthplace of Pissism. Avalon players teleported to /n spawn Persia, Acadia players teleported to /n spawn (can't remember) and Labrador players teleported to /n spawn (can't remember).

The oldest surviving prototype for a GMFP flag, made by Matthi3000_ and shared to Nethermite13.

The first known prototype of the Pissist Union's flag was designed by Matthi3000_ on https://tennessine.co.uk/flags/. While he was playing around on the website, he found the flag "Nordic Newfoundland and Labrador". He liked the design, as it was similar to Avalon's flag. After some tweaking, he changed the location of the colors and the white in the middle to make the flag's color resemble Acadia. He showed this flag to Nethermite13, who liked the flag. After much tweaking, the colors were made less bright and the Pissist Coat of Arms was added.
