The Grand Maritime Federation
The Grand Maritime Federation, formerly known as The Grand Maritime Federation of Pissists and colloquially as Pissist Union, GMF, GMFP or PU, is a meganation on North America. The meganation was founded on September 28th. 2021 with the Bactrian Crusade, a Pissism crusade. The meganation was created to boost cooperation between the member nations.Template:Avalon template made by No Jewtsu The GMFP currently has eleven nations in it: Acadia, Avalon, Labrador, Western Sahara (as a part of Acadia), Angola (as a part of Acadia), Cumania (as a part of Acadia), Keewatin (as a part of Acadia), Bermuda, North America, North Ontario and Woodland Cree, North Ontario, Arctic Alaska, and Buckland. Religions within the alliance vary, with the official religion of many member states (and former alliance religion) being Pissism, with Katunduism and Water Piggism being minority religions within the alliance
The idea for the GMF was known as the Pissist Union, and was born as a joke between SaltedSuris and NetherMite13, the then leaders of Labrador and Acadia.
History
Background (April 7th, 2019 - September 28th, 2021.)
Historic events before the conception of the GMFP (April 7th, 2019 - August 2021)
On April 7th, 2019, Pee Pee Island was established by Dabs_All_OvarYT and, on the 26th, Riley_McDonut founded Dildo. Although the towns had a rocky start, Dabs and Riley founded Avalon on June 13th, 2019. On May 17th, 2020, Acadia was founded by NetherMite13 and remained a close ally of its father nation. Lastly, on August 2nd, 2021, SaltedSuris founded Labrador and, similar to Acadia, remained a close ally to Avalon.
The idea is born (August, 2021 - September 12th, 2021)
Around the end of August and beggining of September 2021, while joking around, Nethermite13 told SaltedSuris they should make a Pissist Union, with the title being inspired by the religion of Pissism. The idea quickly escalated and the GMFP Discord was created by Nethermite on September 12, 2021.
GMFP Discord is made public
On September 12, in preparation for the creation of the Federation, Avalon and Labrador left Greater Quรฉbec. After the creation of the Discord Server, mnay members were invited to the server before it was made public. The members are, from oldest to newest:
After the server was fully set up, NetherMite decided it was time to make the Discord public. He posted the announcement on the Discord servers of Avalon, Acadia and Labrador. Template:Quote (Matthi3000 ) Many people started joining, and the date for the declaration of the Union was announced: September 28th, 2021, at 5pm EST.
Founding days (September 28th, 2021 - October 21st)
The Bactrian crusade

When the time came, everyone joined the voice channel (VC). NetherMite, Matty and Salted attended, as they were the leaders of the three member nations. The Dildo's Dildo was decorated with yellow and white stained glass to celebrate the event. At 5:00 PM EST, Nether ordered everyone to say "pp" in chat. The spamming of the message marked the proclamation of the Federation.
After this, the place for the crusade had to be set. At the end, Bactria was decided as the location of the crusade. Bactria was chosen because griefers from their nation griefed Pee Pee Island, the birthplace of Pissism. Avalon players teleported to /n spawn Persia and Acadia plus Labrador players teleported to /n spawn Almaty.
While Acadia players where heading to Bactria, Sizzle, a PvPer had intercepted the group and attacked. The players went to /n spawn Persia, the /n spawn where Dabs_All_OvarYT, MattyG2012 and Matthi3000_ had started in. Sizzle followed chase from /n spawn Persia as Sauq, among other PvPers, went to /n spawn Almaty. The first to arrive to Far Alexandria was SaltedSuris, followed by the Avalon players. The Acadians were last to arrive.
Sizzle shortly arrived, but he didn't do much. The crusade went like any regular Pissism crusade, with much placement of Pee Pees. However, after around 4 PvPers arrived and Dabs, Matty and NetherMite left, everyone got quickly bored and left.
New nations join (October 21st, 2021 - December 12th)
The GMFP wanted more nations and territory for it, so they added Bermuda and North_America to their ranks. Angola was also added again as a territory of Acadia, as it had been owned by them, but a new leader had sold the nation to Nubia. After that leader was banned, 42 days passed and New Lisbon became the capital of Angola with _ViBiN_ at the helm. On November 23rd, 2021, the nation of Keewatin would be formed as a colony of Acadia, thus joining the union. Finally, Woodland Cree joined on December 11th in a small event.
The new year (December 12th, 2021 - Present day)
More nations and wars (December 12th, 2021 - Present day)
On December 12th, 2021, the GMFP joined a long list of alliances, mega nations and nations in an ultimatum to try and get the Philippines and West Russia out of the North American continent, as they had placed colonies on the continent. The ultimatum was a success and West Russia and the Phillipines backed down.
Cumania joined Acadia on January 3rd to open the new year and the GMFP declared its support for Bulgaria in its war against Greater Romania. North Ontario joined on January 5th, after being controlled by West Russia, and Arctic Alaska joined on the 14th.
On January 23rd, in an act of inclusiveness, equality, and prosperity, the "of Pissists" was officially removed from the meganation's name. This announcement was made alongside the announcement of the GMF Olympics, a Crusade against Italia, and the release of the GMF Constitution after a long 5-month wait.

Flag
Origin
The first known prototype of the Pissist Union's flag was designed by Matthi3000_ on https://tennessine.co.uk/flags/. While he was playing around on the website, he found the flag "Nordic Newfoundland and Labrador". He liked the design, as it was similar to Avalon's flag. After some tweaking, he changed the location of the colors and the white in the middle to make the flag's color resemble Acadia. He showed this flag to Nethermite13, who liked the flag. After much tweaking, the colors were made less bright and the Pissist Coat of Arms was added.
Colonies
The GMF, in and of itself, doesn't own any colonies; the nations inside of the GMF have colonies
Avalonese colonies
Avalon has one colony; Western Sahara. Originally owned by Megablocklyng, its current leader is Valkyrie_Snow. Western Sahara later became a dominion of Acadia
Acadian colonies
Like Avalon, Acadia has one current colony; Angola. It was recently acquired, as a leader of the nation had sold it to Nubia. However, its leader was banned and the current capital is New Lisbon, headed by _ViBiN_.But then, the nation of Angola was sold once again to Nubia
