Bärstadt (German: [ˈbɛːɐʃtat] or [ˈbeːɐʃtat]; High Caseyan: Berştat [ˈbɛrʃtat]) is a village located in South America, situated about 1000 metres northwest of New Bingha as the crow flies. It's part of the nation of Tierra del Fuego and ruled by Mayor wediaklup with his cabinet consisting of MisterRobTob and Spitzhacke10000.
The town was founded two days after Terra Aurora launched — 3 May 2022 — on Cerro Norte (
-13704, 9128
) mountain.
Geography
Bärstadt lies in the southern Andes at the Cerro Norte and Cerro Roma peaks. The town occupies a valley which is almost completely enclosed by mountains. Furthermore it's located in close proximity to lakes Lago Viedma and Lago Argentino, which are not part of town claims though. Bärstadt is located largely underground — i.e. inside of the mountain, NOT below sea level — with windows enabling a view over the valley and the opposing mountain. Therefore not much of Bärstadt is visible on the Dynmap.
History
Bärstadt, meaning city of the bears, is a reference to the city German show Löwenzahn takes place. There, Bärstadt is actually not a real city but just another name for Berlin, the latter having a bear (German: Bär) as its flag and coat of arms. MisterRobTob, a regular Löwenzahn-viewer, suggested using this name and wediaklup decided to adopt it.
The first branch mining site on Bärstadt territorry was constructed before its creation on 1st May 2022 by wediaklup. After he collected enough gold, wediaklup finally founded the town on 3 May 2022 in a room inside of Cerro Norte mountain.
From there, the town further expanded to the north and west and built more rooms including a cow farm and a wheat/potato farm. With MisterRobTob joining and a lot of mining in the background, the town vault collected more and more gold.
In June, the town gouvernment set the claiming of Cerro Roma mountain as a priority, as the residential premisses would be situated there. As seen in Bärstadt documents, the town collected over 250G between 6 June and 19 June (KW 23–24) 2022. From those 250G roughly 100 were spent on claiming chunks further to the west.
