Nova:Battle of Auvergne
The Battle of Auvergne was a majorscale, long battle outside the French town of Auvergne. It involved many neutrals, however the death count remained low.
Background
Battle of Monte Lucii
Due to many French soldiers being killed here, France and Britain had tensions very high, and this boiled over to more British soldiers coming to Auvergne.
During the Battle
Arrival at Auvergn
Sageblue_, had came to Auvergne to attack players. However, 3 French soldiers attacked him, and killed him. One of these, Colt_44_magnum, later left after seeing the situation worsen. At this time, __Tomm and Joe05_ came to the town to fight French citizens. Members of Auvergne called out for backup, and Lamye, Thanamos and a few more came. Right after, this battle immediately attracted neutrals, however most of these then alligned themselves to Britain.
Large scale Fighting
By now, many more Brits and French players had arrived. Thanamos got trapped and got killed, which remained the only death for a while. Both sides vigourously fought, with many traps being made, holes and trenches to trap the enemy. Sleepysloo, a longtime target of few of the brits, was killed by LegoVK in a 1v1. This was pretty much the last death of the battle, however one more French player died.
Slowdown
After near 2 hours of fighting, most French players left, leaving Britain on the battlefield. However, 2-3 French soldiers stuck around, temporarily coming out of claims to shoot at the Brits.
Neutrals Arrive
After Thomasfake logged back on, he brought more people with him, Amphire and Mocccy, who both came to the town started to fight. This led to a large fight, and this is when Morgini, HSHZ and Cubs_ arrived. It is unknown if any deaths occured here, however one French player, Lamye was near death.
End
After 1 hour of neutral fighting, most people left. This left the land around Auvergne destroyed, with many traps left.
Aftermath
British claims
Britain and allies claimed a victory, due to succesfully keeping French soldiers in their claims, and killing any that came out. They also claimed a victory due to having less deaths.
French claims
France claimed that they won, succesfully defending the town by keeping them out. However, they were met with criticism, by many people who claimed "the french were claimhiding".
