Template:Treaty/Agreement The Miro Accords was an agreement regarding diplomatic and economic relations between Brazil and Nubia. It was signed on the 14th February 2021. The agreement had 3 articles and was drafted twice before being finalised.

Background

Prior to the treaty, the leaders of Brazil and Nubia had been building up friendly relations due to both of their positions in the continents they were on. Soon, twomoo1119 asked if they could sign a treaty officially stating their mutual friendship.


Summary

The treaty contained 3 articles (Diplomatic Expectations, Political Expectations and Economic Expectations). The first article would state that relations should be friendly and efforts should be taken to have the 2 communities become closer. It also stated they would both be expected to hold friendly relations with enemies of one another.

The second article stated that both nations will hold policies of regional dominance and that they should ensure that one another's position remains the same in their region.

Article 3 would state that both nations will help each other in the development of one another offering materials and assistance financially. It also encouraged but not required cooperation on large projects.

Treaty content

Article 1: Diplomatic Expectations

Section 1.1: Relations Between Brazil and Nubia

Nubia and Brazil will maintain mutually friendly relations. Actions will be taken by each government to avoid conflict between members and allies. Both governments will cooperate with one another in matters of diplomacy and defence.

Section 1.2: Community Relations

The leadership of Nubia and Brazil shall both promote friendly relations between each community. Both communities should attempt to make members of either community feel welcome within their own to a reasonable extent. Any conflicts that may arise between members of either community shall be resolved in as diplomatically of a way as possible.

Section 1.3: Relations with Enemies

Both Nubia and Brazil shall refrain from friendly relations with enemies or hostilities of one another. While they are not forcibly obligated to participate in each other’s wars, it is to be encouraged, especially when fighting a defensive war. Both nation should strive for bilateral cooperation regarding future hostilities and enemies.

Article 2: Political Expectations

Section 2.1: Regional Expansion Policy

Nubia and Brazil will maintain a policy of regional dominance. Both nations will attempt, within their means, to assert their positions as continental hegemons, politically and militarily. Within their means, they will also attempt to ensure the position of one another as the continental hegemon.

Section 2.2: Political Autonomy

Nubia and Brazil will maintain complete autonomy from all foreign powers. Neither nation shall willingly enter into a relationship in which it is de-jure or de-facto subject to another nation.

Article 3: Economic Expectations

Section 3.1: National Development

Nubia and Brazil will assist in the development of one another by offering material and financial assistance within reason. Cooperation on large scale projects is to be encouraged by both governments.

Aftermath

After the treaty, there was speculation regarding Brazilian entry to the Darya Pact.
