BetaPlain

BetaPlain (28 June 2019 - ) is a mayor, duke, province leader and businessman who is the current leader of Windemere on Terra Aurora. He was the duke of the Duchy of Aleut and the mayor of the town of Newburn on Terra Nova.
Early History
28 June-25 July 2019: Founding of Newburn
BetaPlain joined the server queue on 28 June 2019. During his time in the queue, BetaPlain found Newburn's future location on the dynmap. After waiting to join the server, BetaPlain spawned in the Gobi Desert.
Shortly after spawning, BetaPlain walked across Asia and Europe before deciding to drown himself in Spain, leading to his respawn point in Chicago.

BetaPlain utilized a boat to trek the distance between Alaska and Chicago. During this trip, BetaPlain visited towns bordering the Pacific Ocean.
Following BetaPlain's arrival on the coast of the Bristol Bay, BetaPlain began clearing a flat area for Newburn. On top of this, BetaPlain began the development of the first Newburn Mine. BetaPlain periodically joined the server to vote as he was saving gold. On some of these visits, BetaPlain mined in the mineshaft to secure additional gold during his time on the server.
During one of these visits, BetaPlain was raided by an unknown player, who destroyed approximately 75% of BetaPlain's items stored in his chests. During another visit, BetaPlain was slaughtered twice by two unknown assailants southward from Koyuk. No items were stolen during these killings.
27 days following BetaPlain's joining of the server, Newburn was founded on 25 July 2019. Early in Newburn's existence, BetaPlain joined the nation of Cascadian Alaska, which began BetaPlain's relationship with the Republic of Cascadia.
1 August - 11 October 2019: Buildup to Andamooka
BetaPlain found a rabbit near Newburn, which he named Jody, on 1 August. Due to the lack of mobs spawning on the server during this period, Jody had been the first mob BetaPlain had witnessed on the server. BetaPlain placed the rabbit in a cage and the rabbit disappeared the following day with a visible crater underneath the cage, indicating the rabbit had most likely been killed.
Sometime before 17 August, another rabbit was found, and it was named Keith by BetaPlain. The rabbit was found dead on 17 August, most likely killed by a hostile mob.
On 11 October, BetaPlain finalized the creation of his own province in the Alaskan Empire, the Province of Southwest Alaska, which partially fulfilled his initial desire to create the Republic of Southwest Alaska.
Founding of Andamooka
Also on 11 October, BetaPlain contacted player Cazdog11, a town member of Innucisai. BetaPlain fufilled Cazdog11's desire to found a new town and recommended the previous location of Kipnuk, which was situated across the river from Newburn. Cazdog11 accepted and renamed the town "Andamooka" after a town in Australia. BetaPlain personally gifted Cazdog11 some of his own gold to assist in founding the town.
14 September - 28 November 2019: Newburnian Politics
Newburn officially left Cascadian Alaska and ended all ties with the Republic of Cascadia on 14 September 2019. Later that day, Newburn joined the nation of Yukon after it's spike in activity following August. BetaPlain also developed an unofficial rivalry with nearby player, SgtCartoon, who was the leader of Kodiak. BetaPlain hoped that Newburn would be capable of competing with Kodiak, but his efforts were never realized.
After Newburn had suffered much inactivity, BetaPlain made the decision to allow a one time general election for the Assistant Mayor position in Newburn on 27 November. Following the election, player JerryFunHouse won against player PittigBaasje with a 2-1 vote.
Temporary Leave from Newburn
24 December 2019 - 18 February 2020: Founding of Bend and Portland

On 24 December 2019, dissatisfied with the state of Newburn, BetaPlain accepted EstonianFlag's offer to move to Oregon to found the town of Portland, on the condition that EstonianFlag would fund the creation of an Oregonian republic, with BetaPlain as it's first president. BetaPlain had been inactive for much of the period building up to this point and only joined the server periodically. During this point in Newburn's history, the town's de-facto mayor had become JerryFunHouse. In recognition of JerryFunHouse's efforts, BetaPlain awarded JerryFunHouse full mayorship of the town, and left Newburn on the same day.
BetaPlain joined EstonianFlag's town of Port Angeles, and founded the town of Portland in the ruins of Bend on 24 December. Shortly after arriving, BetaPlain made some initial development on the area, but the town's development quickly lost momentum.
BetaPlain moved Ice Highway Building Company Elite Travel's de-jure headquarters to Portland. BetaPlain saw this company as a way to overcome the monetary issue faced by him in his various nation founding endeavors, prompting his decision.
