Cult of Dredd

The Cult of Dredd (also referred to as The Dreddist Cult, Dreddist Church, or Columbian Protestantism) is a splinter-branch from the Roman Catholic Church which is followed by a small minority in the world, however, it is the state-enforced religion from the Great Euphoria Empire.

Dreddist theology bases itself on the belief that the Roman Catholic God, is in fact memphis-inspired, underground rapper, Freddie Dredd, whose official title in the cult is FREDDIVS DREDDIVS, the God of the Putrid Underground. Dreddist virtues are an exaggerated and over-the-top view of the main Dreddist prophet, Dornan, 's views, and the religion as a whole is heavily Euphoria-centric, as most of the subsequent prophets and all of the holy sites are located in the Empire's borders.

The Cult itself has it's own version on how their religion came to be, although it is heavily debated on if the founding story is in fact true or false.

As it's described, the Cult was founded when "the filthy savages" of the Roman Catholic Church, began the extermination of the Columbian Identity during the period of stagnation in the country. The marriage between the cult's martyr, BigBroPro0425, and the cult's prophet Kamikokoro in particular was struck down by a volt of lightning emanating from the Spanish Peninsula which was initially interpreted as God's disapproval of the marriage, this however was proven to be false as a few days later however, as Kamikokoro's marriage with martyr DeadlyFox2003 was yet again struck down by a volt of lightning which was eventually proven to come from the Spanish Peninsula, and specifically from the Volt-inator present in Madrid.

This confirmed the priest, Dornan, 's suspicions of a sabotage. The Catholic church eventually confessed to the crime and an apparition came to Dornan, which was to become the first prophet of the future cult. This apparition was Freddie Dredd expressing support for his cause, and enlightened Dornan of his true identity as God. Dornan proceeded to fund the new Cult and wrote the first of many editions of the Cult's Manifesto. This outward rebellion against the "heretic" Catholics was favored by FREDDIVS and he granted Dornan infinite meth.

Historical Fact

This, heavely debated, founding story has proven to have some truth to it, as the marriages between BigBroPro and Kamikokoro, and DeadlyFox2003 and Kami, did infact take place in the now Euphoric capital of Kanye. However it is often cited that these gay marriages were denounced by both the Church and Deadly's nation, Spain, for their homosexual nature.

Many experts believe that the Cult was simply founded out of spite of not letting gay marriages in the Roman Catholic Church and out of Dornan's pride, which would eventually influence the religion's virtues.
