Aurora:Nunavik

Intro
Nunavik has went through many different governments and capitals but it is currently held by MasterEWild, the nation is located in Canada and is in proximity to the nations of Vermont and the former nation of Laurentia.
History
Note this sections only includes history of the nation when it was held by atTAboycARL and then later, MasterEWild
Laurentia Inclusion
Following atTAboycARL's purchase of Nunavik, it became a sub-nation to Laurentia, due to the signing of the Treaty of the Cities on March 14th, 2024. The treaty outlines the conditions upon Nunavik becoming a sub-nation.
Treaty of The Cities Terms
The terms included in the Treaty of the Cities are as follows:
- An act of war against Nunavik shall be considered an act of war on Laurentia and vice-versa. Our nations shall stand united.
- Laurentia and Nunavik (nation held by atTAboycARL, shall hereafter be under the sole banner of the Union of Laurentia. Nunavik shall become an incorporated state of the Union of Laurentia.
- Residents of Nunavik shall be given citizenship in Laurentia and are held to all rules governing Laurentian citizens.
- atTAboycARL shall act as territorial governor of Nunavik and reserve the right to counsel with the Chief Governor of Laurentia at any time should a disagreement or question arise.
- A full referendum shall be had in Nunavik in order to challenge a Laurentia law and given a 65% majority, that law shall not apply in Nunavik. The only exception being the constitution of Laurentia which cannot be nullified.
- Nunavik shall not coerce Laurentian towns to join it, and new towns in Nunavik must also comply with Laurentian border treaties.
- Nunavik may not join any other nation or meganation
- Nunavik leaves all current alliances and treaties, and shall become subject to all Laurentian treaties.
Ownership transfer
On July 8th of 2024, former owner aTAboycARL gave the nation of Nunavik to MasterEWild. MasterEWild immediately switched the capital to his town of Fort Aurelian and got straight to work writing the first democratic constitution of Nunavik. (Nunavik peacefully broke away from Laurentia, nulling the Treaty of the Cities).
Wars
Since MasterEWild acquired the nation, the Republic of Nunavik has been in several wars.
Great Australian War
Nunavik was (and still is) in a war known as the Great Australian War. Nunavik entered this war after the nation of NA called on mutual defense due to their membership in the Organization of Free Nations. The war is currently between mainly, the OFN and Australia with Pilbara and Australia being the most prominent nations in the war.
From January 2nd, 2025 to February 1st, 2025, Nunavik was also at war with Scandinavia due to the nation of Finnmark triggering the mutual defense clause of the OFN.
Savoie War
As of January 27th, 2025, following the passage of Assembly Bill #98, the Republic of Nunavik declared war on the nation of Savoie, in support of their allies through the OFN.
Illinois War
On January 29th, 2025, due to the nation of Illinois overclaiming the capital of the MWU, Detroit, the Midwestern Union triggered article 5;2 of the Blue Codes (the OFN's mutual defense clause), putting all members of the OFN, including Nunavik, at war with Illinois
Grant to BC
Though Nunavik was never at war with Skeena, Assembly Bill #93 authorized a spending of 75 gold to Nunavik's allies, BC to fight against Skeena.
Government
The Republic of Nunavik has several government positions, those being the President, the Executive Cabinet, the Legislative Assembly and the Supreme Court Justice. The position of President is an elected position with a vote held each month, the president is responsible for selecting an Executive Cabinet consisting of the Vice President (who takes over if the president is impeached, resigns or is otherwise unable to server) and the Secretaries of State, defense, infrastructure, and engagement. The Legislative Assembly serves as the nation's legislature. Any citizen wanting to become part of the Legislative Assembly is able to become a part of it without need of a vote given they apply in the election/application period, the assembly is responsible for creating and voting on the nations' laws. Lastly, the Supreme Court Justice serves as the head of the court of law, if a citizen feels a law or the constitution has been violated they can bring the offender to court. It is the responsibility of the Supreme Court Justice (who is elected and then retained in the monthly elections) to handle the court case and resolve the matter.

Alliances
The Republic of Nunavik is a member state of the Organization of Free Nations and the United Aurora Accord. Currently, Nunavik has a mutual defense alliance and non-aggression pact with the ETRA alliance and holds non-aggression pacts with the Pilbaran Empire, the United States Empire, the Republic of Colima (a now disbanded nation), the Icelandic Commonwealth, Mackenzie (formerly NWT and now a disbanded nation) and France. Note the non-aggression pact with Mackenzie was signed prior to Machenzie's war declaration on Nunavik's ally, Cascadia.

Spawn Building
Right at /n spawn Nunavik is a beautiful shop building made with walls of moss and green concrete powder, majestic deepslate pillars and a textured spruce roof. All these features and more make it an appealing spawn building for the nation
Aurelian Archives
Within Fort Aurelian, the capital of Nunavik there is a building known as the Aurelian Archives. MasterEWild commissioned spirtualmilk to create the building to display diverse history. The building serves as a museum of Fort Aurelian, cataloging its history and thus Nunavik's history.
Laurentian Museum
In the capital of Nunavik, Fort Aurelian, there is a museum dedicated to the former nation of Laurentia, striving to keep Laurentia's history alive
Torngat Museum
The capital of Nunavik also holds a museum dedicated to the history of the former nation of Torngat, Laurentia's ally. The museum has artifacts, books and maps found in the ruins of the capital of Torngat.
National Gear Reserve
Under the building holding the Laurentian Museum is the National Gear Reserve which holds gear given to Nunavik residents for free if they meet certain requirements. To get down to the room, you must ride a redstone elevator.
Fort Aurelian Underground
Though not a building, the capital of Nunavik, Fort Aurelian contains a mystical and nature themed underground, adding to the town's overall atmosphere
Future Plans
Nunavik plans to farther expand, establish valuable allies and farther set democratic principles into stone.
