Neowyld

Neowyld is a real life American player who founded The Golden Apple Casino, The Golden Apple Incorporated, and Lixus. His largest desire is to influence competition, gambling, and capitalism to reach its fullest potential on EMC. He despises low-effort and low-quality product, scamming, and unjustified disrespect. Neowyld became a moderator on 5 July 2020, and was removed from a moderator on 30 November 2020 due to an ultimatum by Fix to pick between staffing on EMC or Crusade Craft.
History
Small-Town Boy
Neowyld created Valkyrie_City on 24 November 2019 for his friends and himself. Not much was thought to come of it when doing so. EarthMC was just meant to be another survival server with some economy thrown in. He began with creating the foundation of the town: flattening the land, small farming, creating plots. Residents came and went, but the town and having fun was all Neowyld cared about.
Hard4You Concrete
It did not take long before the need for gold became apparent and Neowyld needed to think of an easily farmable/in-demand product to sell. He had not played on a standard minecraft server in quite some time, and was introduced to concrete. He figured out a way to quickly turn the powder into concrete, and then he started his business. At first he sold through chat, selling to anyone looking to buy. Surprisingly, he was never scammed.
After making a small name for himself in the concrete industry, he drew the attention of a previous leader in Chicago, Illinois (HueyFreeman). The player gave Neowyld a free shop plot, and business started booming. Soon, Hard4You Concrete became the go-to place to buy concrete. This lasted from around December 2019 until February 2020 with the closing of sign shops.
The Golden Apple Casino
Out-of-the-blue, Neowyld noticed a large lacking of something: casinos. Neowyld had not yet heard of the defunct Casino Royale in Nepal and figured a casino would be an excellent thing to bring to the server. However, he first needed a nation spawn. The founders of Valkyrie_City all pooled their gold together to reach the nation threshold. They then left Spain and created the nation of Lixus on 3 February 2020.
After several weeks of construction, The Golden Apple Casino opened on 29 February 2020. However, opening and accumulating gold was not enough for Neowyld. He wanted to redefine casinos, ice races, and competition. First he made sure the casino was the largest physically, spanning 20 chunks and reaching 5 stories. Then he made sure he had the most accurate and the most amount of games. The casino currently rests with 18 unique games to play not including the events.
Bigger and better is always the name of the game. Neowyld has invented multiple games in the casino as well as redesigned some to better fit Minecraft. These games include 7SticksIsALoss (game), Rocket Roulette, Hi-Lo (redesign for mc), and Arching Arrow. He even went to the extent of making the first deck of cards map art which is featured in the card games at the casino.
Moving on to the ice race, Neowyld has set the standard and changed what "ice race" meant when he opened his track. The Golden Apple Raceway features fast straight aways, tight hairpins, drops, and elevators. This had never been done before as racing was more of a casual design beforehand. His track has influenced the creation of tracks such as the ones in Jefferson, Britain, and Germany, .
His business has accrued him thousands upon thousands of gold, but he takes more pride in the competitions he has created as well as the standard he set for it.
The Golden Apple Inc.
Slowly, The Golden Apple Casino morphed into The Golden Apple Incorporated. The name more accurately represents what he planned to do with his organization.
With the help of multiple company members, Neowyld was able to purchase Sri Lanka for 7,000 gold (see The Golden Apple Incorporated for more info). He had dreams of an entertainment megacomplex with many different types of arenas, events, and shopping centers.
Moderation
Neowyld pursues a moderation policy of "de-escalation," meaning all enforcement should lead to said behavior stopping with minimal dispute. This means choosing an action which best stops an unwanted situation. He also believes to exhaust options other than warns or bans before choosing those options. This leads to more verbal warnings rather than outright mutes. Many have regarded his moderation as too lenient while others say it is fair to inform players of their wrongdoing before issuing punishments. For example, every so often the chat will get heated or rowdy, and a mod is needed to intervene. Rather than mute all the offenders (which only makes the chat angrier and rowdier), Neowyld attempts to put the fire out by means of changing the subject, verbal warnings to calm down, or distracting the chat by taking their attention elsewhere.

- Neowyld was a randomly generated name for a Skyrim character he had created. He decided to keep the name permanently.
- His casino once had so much gold being passed around in a poker match that a mod took notice and intervened.
- He took a lot of influence from Nepal once he found out about it, but the majority of influence comes from an anime called Kakegurui or "Compulsive Gambler."
- Neowyld is planning on becoming a poker dealer in real life and has graduated from a poker dealing school.
- Neowyld previously was pursuing an esports career in Overwatch, but quit due to mental health and real life issues that arose from it.
- While Neowyld is accredited with the concepts and ideas, Reoost is the player who brought the games to life with his skill in redstone engineering.
