Mai's emergence in EarthMC in November 2018 marked the beginning of a trajectory that would span multiple regions, settlements, and political landscapes. Spawning in Northern Norway, his first permanent settlement would be in Gorod Drakona, the biggest town within Soviet_Russia. Through his time in Gorod_Drakona, he actively participated in diplomatic engagement, and when his town of Gorod_Drakona succeeded from Soviet_Russia, he secured positions of Councillor and later Chancellor of the early state of Scythia. His ability to influence internal affairs and regional politics during this period positioned him as a key figure within the tow and later nation's leadership, however, like many players who seek to establish independent influence, mai eventually departed from Gorod Drakona to found his own settlement: Astrakhan, located to the south of the capital. Under mai's leadership, Astrakhan grew into a major settlement, reaching /t list 1, within the first month of the town's founding. Its compact design and central location in the Steppe region contributed to both its success and its vulnerabilities. It's rather 'niche' location made it harder than more mainstream towns when it came to recruiting, however it's flatline terrain and coastal port made it very easy for Astrakhan to be built upon. Astrakhan remained an influential presence within the region, and Mai oversaw the construction of notable structures, including adaptations of the Tibetan Palace and Bulgarian Walls. These architectural projects were incorperated by real-life inspirations and by the inspiration of both Cloudy102 and CheeseKnife's landmarks. However, Scythia as a whole began to decline in activity, and with it, Astrakhan faced diminishing engagement from its residents. Mai made the decision to try and move to Greater Armenia, and then Georgia, to try and fix the problem of Scythia's dying activity, but not soon after receiving aninvitation from the Queen of Vietnam, prompting another relocation. From his early roles in Gorod Drakona to the rise and management of Astrakhan, whether through direct leadership, architectural projects, or political maneuvering, Mai's actions contributed to the shifting landscape of the server, marking his presence in multiple regions before ultimately moving toward new opportunities elsewhere.

Mai's transition from Greater Armenia to Vietnam marked the beginning of a period where his leadership abilities would be tested on a greater scale. Upon his arrival, he was offered a position of significant influence, taking on the roles of Prince, Chancellor, and Mayor; all titles that placed him at the heart of Vietnamese governance. His approach to building a "Better Vietnam" was swift and decisive. One of his most notable contributions was the establishment of Quang Ngai, a major port city in Central Vietnam that quickly rose to prominence as one of Southeast Asia’s most populous settlements.
During his tenure, Mai played a critical role in maintaining the unity of Vietnam, overseeing the construction of railroads that connected the country's key regions and managing the kingdom’s economic resources with precision. His efforts not only strengthened Vietnam internally but also caught the attention of neighboring powers. Among them was Cambodia, a nation that, by this point, had been weakened and fatigued by internal struggles. After two days of negotiations, Mai secured control over Cambodia, becoming its Emperor and expanding his influence beyond Vietnam’s borders.
However, an unforeseen event altered the course of Cambodia’s fate. As its governance was being transferred to a new administrative center, a technical failure led to an unprecedented situation: Cambodia, though still recognized as an existing nation, was put through a 'towny error' in which the nation held no towns or nations in game, effectively leaving the country in a limbo-state. For six months, Mai remained without a nation to govern, until he was granted the 1024 gold which allowed him to establish a new state, which he named Khmer.
Khmer’s foundation, however, immediately provoked regional tensions, as leadership in Vietnam changed, iFluxify's Siam, a dominant power in the region, had promised land to partition the land with Vietnam, without the approval of Cambodia and viewed the rise of Khmer as a direct violation of its territorial claims. This led to the outbreak of the War of Khmer Independence. Initially, Khmer forces were able to hold their own against Siam, but when Byzantine and Qin; two of the world’s superpowers had declared their intent to support Siam, the war’s outcome became inevitable. Facing overwhelming opposition, Mai engaged in peace talks to hopefully secure more idealistic term, in which he secured Khmer’s independence in exchange for a 75-gold tribute to Siam.
Despite this diplomatic resolution, fate intervened once more. The same technical failure that had once erased Cambodia struck again, leading to the collapse of Khmer before it could fully establish itself. Mai's journey continued with his ascension in Japan, where he swiftly rose through the ranks to claim the title of King. However, the intricate bureaucracy and internal constraints of the nation soon wore on him. Seeking a more dynamic arena, he departed from Japan and joined Korea, drawn by the opportunity to participate in a conflict ignited by tensions between the Qing and the Northwestern Territories. With war looming, Mai enlisted in the Korean army and took part in a victorious campaign, marking a decisive victory in the war. Following this, he became embroiled in the Chinese Civil War, a vast and chaotic conflict that saw multiple factions vying for dominance over China-Proper. Throughout this conflict, Mai became one of its most effective pvper and rose to the leadership. Rising to the rank of Major General within the rebel forces, he leveraged his exceptional PvP skills to devastating effect, personally amassing a high kill count that forced many to simply run away and avoid fighting when they saw him. His mastery of gamesense, late nova siegewar, and direct combat engagements allowed him to lead his troops through key engagements across China, securing victories where the rebels would have otherwise faltered. It was during this period that he encountered CobetKhei, a fellow commander with whom he would forge a formidable battlefield alliance. Together, they coordinated strategic strikes on enemy strongholds, striking the towns of mudanjiang, Xianyang, Hyesan, Luoyang, and Liaoyang (where he soon met Mr_X1234, xPadpai and members of 'Qing' which he would soon befriend despite rival allegance on the world stage), these attacks would then force the opposition into a war of attrition that drained their resources and morale. Mai's direct contributions altered the course of engagements, ensuring that the rebels remained a force to be reckoned with throughout the civil war. However, despite his battlefield success, he eventually chose to move on, leaving behind a war-torn China still embroiled in conflict as he sought new challenges. His journey next took him to Burma, where he orchestrated the rebirth of a nation, adopting an aggressive foreign policy that would rapidly alter the regional balance of power. In November 2019, his army marched into Bangladesh and annexed it, expanding Burmese influence. Emboldened by this success, he demanded control of Eastern India, a demand that was met with compliance rather than resistance. Seeking to further consolidate power in Southeast Asia, Mai entered an agreement with his then, close friend, doct_fr to partition Siam between him and Vietnam, launching a campaign along Siam’s border and capturing strategic ports. However, the war took an unexpected turn when the Vietnamese leader was banned for duping, abruptly weakening their alliance. With the situation shifting, Mai withdrew his forces and negotiated a white peace, but his frustration at not securing any territorial gains led him to abdicate the throne, transferring power to a trusted ally. Following his departure from Burma, Mai initially planned to establish a new town, Suao, for the Han faction, but ultimately decided against it. Instead, he defected to Xia, where he took part in infrastructure projects and seized opportunities to raid and plunder rival territories whenever conditions favored him. His next major political maneuver brought him to the Republic of China (R.O.C.), where his long-time ally, Chiang Kai-Shek (CobetKhei), offered him the role of Chancellor. Mai accepted, assuming yet another position of high political standing. However, much like his experience in Japan, the period proved uneventful, leading to growing disillusionment with the political stagnation of EarthMC. As time passed, his engagement waned. His town fell into inactivity, and upon his eventual return, he found himself without a nation. Seeking a final endeavor, he joined Date, rejoining Japan and having idealizations of what to do, however his time was short and lackluser, and he would soon become inactive.

==Terra Aurora== | |||
=== Early History === | |||
Mai's arrival on Terra Aurora came within the first week of the server's public release in May 2022. In the early days of the new release, he established the town of Omori within Bokkai (known as Jin). Although Omori saw relatively little activity, it held a notable geographical distinction as the northernmost metropolis of Bokkai. Mai remained in the settlement for approximately a month before moving on to pursue greater opportunities elsewhere on the server.
On May 25, 2022, Mai encountered the Indonesian YouTuber KevinStrong, an encounter involving 32Basil and Mai's Indonesian friend Andakira, whom he brought along to participate. Mai himself appeared in the resulting YouTube video, marking a brief but memorable episode in his early Terra Aurora experience.
=== Japanese Kingdom and Kobe ===
Following his departure from Omori, Mai relocated to Kobe, where he met fei_mi. He assisted in the excavation and construction of the town during a period of considerable upheaval, as a wave of Japanese YouTubers, arounda year previously had brought an influx of new players to the new server. The resulting competition for territory made Kobe's development particularly challenging, with Japanese settlements expanding around the town from multiple directions and leaving it increasingly encircled.
Despite these difficulties, Mai remained involved in Kobe's development and eventually succeeded fei_mi as mayor following the latter's inactivity. His transition into town leadership marked a more substantial period of involvement in Terra Aurora's Japanese political landscape. During this time, Mai also briefly served as a councillor of Tokyo, a relatively short appointment that nevertheless formed part of his growing involvement in Japanese governance.
Mai's most significant political position during this period was his lengthy tenure as King of Japan, a kingdom distinct from Yamato. Alongside his Japanese royal standing, he maintained his association with the Kasana clan under the identity kasana2004, serving as one of its principal figures. His activities during this era encompassed town development, political administration, and his connections to the wider Kasana network. Despite these responsibilities, Mai also devoted significant time to his studies, balancing his commitments outside the game with his positions within Terra Aurora.
=== Kasana and the Rise of the Clan ===
While establishing himself within Terra Aurora's Japanese political landscape, Mai remained closely associated with the kasana, a PvP clan founded on July 3, 2022. Originally composed primarily of Japanese players, the group developed into one of the more prominent PvP factions of early Terra Aurora, eventually reaching approximately 40 members. At its height, the clan's influence extended across multiple nations, with several of its members holding national leadership positions.
Mai, operating under the identity kasana2004, became one of the central figures in the organisation of the clan, alongside kasana2003, he was involved in the early development of the Kasana brotherhood, which brought together players who adopted the shared Kasana name, for a moment in 2023, kasana2004, was arguably the greatest pvper of that era, winning against the likes of many well-known pvpers of that era: including 21eea, Vantacrus, MizolyRyo, 4kolk, windows10laptop, and sizzle.
The clan's early prominence was established through a series of conflicts during July 2022. Following the opening of Indochina's national spawn in Singapore, Kasana became involved in repeated engagements against Indonesian-led forces. Supported by allies including Fiji, windows10laptop, vantacrus and sizzle, the Kasanas fought several battles during this period, winning most of their initial engagements. The ensuing rivalry with Indonesian factions became a defining feature of the clan's early history, with fighting frequently occurring across Banten and Java. Further conflicts involving Majapahit, Ming, Byzantium, and Kushan broadened Kasana's involvement in Terra Aurora's wider PvP landscape.
Kasana's influence gradually diminished as kasana2004 was the first to leave following a dispute with kasana2003, kasana2005 (MizolyRyo) amongst other founding members became inactive or had departed in protest aswell, as internal disagreements intensified, and the composition of the group changed. Nevertheless, its early period remained a significant chapter in Terra Aurora's history, and Mai's chapter as kasana2004 placed him among the figures associated with the clan's rise and subsequent fragmentation.
=== Ezo and Retirement ===
After his period of leadership in Japan, Mai moved on to Ezo, where he remained for approximately another three months. This final settlement marked the closing chapter of his sustained involvement in Terra Aurora. Following his time in Ezo, Mai once again became inactive on EarthMC, bringing an end to this phase of his activity on the server.
== Terra Nostra == | |||
=== Early History === | |||
Mai joined Terra Nostra upon the server's release, arriving during the initial period of settlement and nation-building. His first settlement was Montenegro, where he began his activity in the Balkans before establishing a town of his own. On May 31st, Mai founded Banja Luka, a settlement in Bosnia that would become the centre of his early political influence on Terra Nostra.
Banja Luka developed rapidly under his leadership, eventually becoming the largest town in Bosnia. At its height, it also held the distinction of being the largest town in Yugoslavia. His growing involvement in Yugoslav affairs soon extended beyond municipal administration.
On June 8th, Mai was appointed Minister of Defence of Yugoslavia. The position placed him within the country's political and military leadership, where he remained for a considerable period. His tenure coincided with Banja Luka's continued expansion and his increasing prominence in Yugoslav politics.
=== The Yugoslav Revolution ===
A major turning point in Yugoslav history came on August 8th, following the abdication of real_ttym. The resulting political transition saw 0p2w crowned King of Yugoslavia, establishing a new government. However, the change in leadership proved controversial among some Yugoslav figures, including Mai, who viewed the new administration as a foreign occupation of their crown and ancestral lands rather than a legitimate continuation of Yugoslav sovereignty.
On August 17th, Mai, alongside thedalmatian01 and Danj, organised a revolution against the government of 0p2w. What began as opposition to the new government developed into a struggle over the legitimacy of Yugoslav rule and the future of the nation.
The revolution culminated on September 8th, when the revolutionary side succeeded in overthrowing the existing government and expelling the Romans from Yugoslavia. Following the victory, Mai was crowned King of Yugoslavia, marking the establishment of a new political order after weeks of upheaval. His accession represented the culmination of his progression from town founder and Minister of Defence to the highest position in the Yugoslav state.
=== Reign of Yugoslavia ===
On September 8th, Mai has remained King of Yugoslavia. His reign followed the revolutionary restoration of Yugoslav rule and established him as a central figure in the nation's continuing political history.
=== PvP Activities === | |||
Outside of his political responsibilities in Yugoslavia, Mai participates in the Fun Gang, a PvP group alongside Ratmode3 and Glazzy. The group engages in player-versus-player combat across EarthMC, including conflicts against emc_mafia. This involvement represents a continuation of Mai's longstanding interest in PvP, complementing his political and territorial activities on Terra Nostra.

Terra Aurora
Early History
Japanese Kingdom and Kobe
Kasana and the Rise of the Clan
Ezo and Retirement
After his period of leadership in Japan, Mai moved on to Ezo, where he remained for approximately another three months. This final settlement marked the closing chapter of his sustained involvement in Terra Aurora. Following his time in Ezo, Mai once again became inactive on EarthMC, bringing an end to this phase of his activity on the server.
Terra Nostra
Early History
The Yugoslav Revolution
Reign of Yugoslavia
On September 8th, Mai has remained King of Yugoslavia. His reign followed the revolutionary restoration of Yugoslav rule and established him as a central figure in the nation's continuing political history.
PvP Activities
Outside of his political responsibilities in Yugoslavia, Mai participates in the Fun Gang, a PvP group alongside Ratmode3 and Glazzy. The group engages in player-versus-player combat across EarthMC, including conflicts against emc_mafia. This involvement represents a continuation of Mai's longstanding interest in PvP, complementing his political and territorial activities on Terra Nostra.
