BetaPlain (28 June 2019 - ) is a mayor, duke, province leader and businessman who is the current leader of Windemere on Terra Aurora. He was the duke of the Duchy of Aleut and the mayor of the town of Newburn on Terra Nova.

BetaPlain joined the server on 28 June 2019 with the strong ambition to found a town and nation. Shortly after joining, BetaPlain selected the appropriate location for Newburn, along the coast of the Bristol Bay. BetaPlain contacted server staff to ensure that the name of Southwest Alaska could be used for a new republic that BetaPlain hoped to found.

Early History

28 June-25 July 2019: Founding of Newburn

BetaPlain joined the server on 28 June 2019. During his time in the queue map, BetaPlain found Newburn's future location on the dynmap. After a short time in the queue, BetaPlain spawned in the Gobi Desert.

Shortly after spawning, BetaPlain walked across Asia and Europe before deciding to drown himself in Spain, leading to his respawn point in Chicago.

BetaPlain utilized a boat to trek the distance between Alaska and Chicago. During this trip, BetaPlain visited towns bordering the Pacific Ocean.

Following BetaPlain's arrival on the coast of the Bristol Bay, BetaPlain began clearing a flat area for Newburn. On top of this, BetaPlain began the development of the first Newburn Mine. BetaPlain periodically joined the server to vote as he was saving gold. On some of these visits, BetaPlain mined in the mineshaft to secure additional gold during his time on the server.

During one of these visits, BetaPlain was raided by an unknown player, who destroyed approximately 75% of BetaPlain's items stored in his chests. During another visit, BetaPlain was slaughtered twice by two unknown assailants southward from Koyuk. No items were stolen during these killings.

27 days following BetaPlain's joining of the server, Newburn was founded on 25 July 2019. Early in Newburn's existence, BetaPlain joined the nation of Cascadian Alaska, which began BetaPlain's relationship with the Republic of Cascadia.
