Telkwa (originally New Hiram Station) is a trading and mining town, and the capital of Klondike.
It was established on July 31, 2021. The current mayor is Painted Indigo.
Telkwa is a member of the STAR Alliance, serving as STAR Local 2.
History
Telkwa was founded as New Hiram Station by Painted Indigo and AdrianHES. It was intended to be a successor to Hiram Station, a short-lived mining colony in central North America. However, due to old Hiram Station not being in proximity to an active nation, the town was disbanded and the two moved west to join the Republic of Cascadia in the region of Columbia, who they saw as a functioning and progressive democracy.
With the permission of the Cascadian government, the town of New Hiram Station was created in late-July. It was founded as a result of the border between the Quebec Empire and Cascadia leaving the old Hiram Station on the Quebec side, which AdrianHES and Painted Indigo did not want to be a part of. A loan of 112 gold given by BigBroPro and Dornan to expand the town, which was paid off soon after.
On August 26, mayor Adrian left New Hiram Station to reestablish his old town Albany in Quebec. The mayoral role was handed over to Painted Indigo. Later that day, the STAR Alliance was founded, with New Hiram Station added as STAR Local 2.
Later, Columbia seceded from the Cascadian Republic, and Painted stayed loyal to Columbia. Painted also renamed New Hiram Station to Telkwa.
Eventually, GreenyDuck, the leader of Klondike, handed over the position of leader to Painted, whom he saw as a benevolent and dedicated leader. Afterwards, Painted wanted to join Cascadia, and have Klondike as a kind of Cascadian state. In response to this, several jealous and sociopathic political enemies of Painted - among these Frey and Scrabs - decided to ruin that idea by fabricating false claims and lies, stealing Klondike towns and deleting the Klondike discord, all leading to a heavy decrease of activity in the nation.
Today, Telkwa is a town on the grow - in both buildings, community and political strength. Painted's spirited mayorship has propelled Telkwa into a future of progress and prosperity.

Notable events
- August 26, 2021 - The mayorship changed hands from AdrianHES to Painted Indigo due to AdrianHES leaving to found Albany for the second time.
- August 26, 2021 - Telkwa became a founding member of the STAR Alliance to keep the connection between AdrianHES and Painted Indigo.
- September 23, 2021 - Painted Indigo was promoted to oligarch for the purposes of building ice rail. On the same day it was connected via ice rail with Klondike by way of Kamloops.
- September 28, 2021 - Telkwa was connected with the capital of Klondike at the time, Hell.
- Most of October was spent starting construction of the Telkwa town hall, during which the town was also renamed to Telkwa from New Hiram Station. While not much notable happened during this time, it was a time of silent growth.
- November 1, 2021 - Telkwa was connected with the capital of Columbia, Derby, as the Libertalius segment was finally finished after being in permission limbo for a month.
- November 2, 2021 - Telkwa town became sizably richer as Painted Indigo looted most notably 62 blackstone, a magma cube spawn egg, and 6 spawners from a fallen town.
- November 6, 2021 - Telkwa becomes the capital of Klondike after emperor of Klondike, Greenyduck, abdicates to PaintedIndigo_.
- November 7, 2021 - Telkwa and Klondike leave the Columbian Empire in search of joining Cascadia
- November 8, 2021 - After consulting senator of Fort Richardson, Scrixle, Klondike and Telkwa rejoin the Columbian empire.
