Portugal, officially the Kingdom of Portugal (Portuguese: Reino de Portugal) is a nation located in Western Europe, in the Iberian Peninsula, was officially founded on May 6th, 2026 by xKloss. It currently comprises 41 towns.
History
Early History (April 17th, 2026 - May 11th, 2026)
The Creation of Lisbon
The Portugal Crisis
A player named xKloss created a town named Evora and the nation of Portugal, refusing to join the project of the other existing Portuguese towns. So, an ultimatum was sent to the leader of the fake Portugal, xKloss, to either join our project of a united nation or to sell us and leave the region. He later rejected it and that Alexandre I was a "fascist" and a "racist."
So, war was declared and in just 5 days Portugal and Spain declared victory in the conflict due to the permanent ban of xKloss after repeatedly violating server rules by attempting to hold raffles with real money in exchange for attracting residents to his town.
This marked another step towards the consolidation of the Portuguese nation and its independence. Every 11th day of the month Portuguese nationals remember it as the National Day of the Freedom of the Portuguese People.
The Odemira Negotiations & the Free City of Sagres
Following a lengthy process of diplomatic negotiations, Portugal fully regained sovereignty over its entire territory.
The ancient city of Andaria, now restored to its former name of Odemira, is once again under Portuguese administration, bringing to an end a situation which, for some time, had given rise to disagreements and uncertainty regarding its sovereignty.
This outcome represents a victory for diplomacy, dialogue and the defence of national interests. With this resolution, the dispute with Mauretania over this issue is considered closed, paving the way for more stable and constructive relations between both nations.
The Portuguese Restoration (May 11th, 2026 - July 13th, 2026)
The United Nations
At a time when Portugal faces important challenges concerning sovereignty, diplomacy and international cooperation, its Conselho de Ministros believed that closer engagement with the international community is both necessary and beneficial to the national interest.
By joining the United Nations, Portugal seeked to strengthen its diplomatic ties, promote peaceful cooperation between nations, and ensure that its voice is represented within one of the world's foremost international forums.
However, on June 25th Portugal decided to leave the United Nations. What was once thought as an organisation dedicated to peace, diplomacy and dialogue had, in the end, only served to divide the Nations of EarthMC further and further, prioritising personal interests over a forum for international cooperation.
Despite this unfortunate turn of events, Portugal continued steadfast in its intention to strengthen its diplomatic ties with other nations, promote peaceful cooperation amongst nations and ensure that its voice is represented in one of the world’s most important international forums.
Operation Francelho
On 28th of June 2026, the Portuguese and Spanish Armed Forces carried out a successful operation in southern Galicia, specifically in the town of Mane Forest, where the terrorist mmmkkk10 resided. This individual has murdered several Portuguese and Spanish players for a month without any justification.
The combined Armed Forces managed to force the terrorist into negotiations, with the objective that he never again murders any player from the Iberian Peninsula. It was considered a successful operation, since there was never later knowledge of his attacks ever again.
The Abdication of Alexandre I
On the afternoon of July 6th, 2026 the final results of the National Referendum on the Head of State were disclosed to the public. The Portuguese people have spoken loudly and clearly about the direction the Nation should take. Since the founding of the first city, Lisbon, Aracnedix, also known as Alexandre I, has uninterruptedly exercised the role of Head of State as the King of Portugal.

War with SPQR
In light of the continuous provocations, bribery attempts targeting town mayors, coercion, and territorial infringements committed in the Iberian Peninsula by SPQR, the nations of Portugal, the now United Kingdom of Spain, and the Republic of Mauretania jointly and irrevocably declared a set of demands to the attacking nation, in order do remove all towns under SPQR jurisdiction located within the borders of the Iberian Peninsula.
With this, on August 14th, 2026, after 24 hours of the ultimatum, as no reply was received, all three nations considered diplomatic channels broken and responded militarily, formally declaring a state of war.
