The April 2021 Nubia elections are the elections scheduled for early April 2021 in Nubia for Minister positions in government.

Background

Minister of Imperial Affairs vote

Throughout the March term, Ministers discussed the idea of removing the position of Minister of Municipal Development, replacing it with Minister of Imperial Affairs. This was first discussed during the February term, however it was discussed during the March elections, making it harder to implement.

Upon the elections ending on the 2nd March 2021, the new Minister idea was taken up again by gorkymoo1119, with the immediate backing of Mengan_ and Lopile. Over the course of the month, the decision would be slowly backed by the other Ministers, soon coming to a conclusion that it should be implemented after a vote in government and the Lower House passed with a large majority.

Impeachment of UsualKostas

Background

On the 13th March 2021, Driifter would resign from her Minister position. As a result, the office of Minister of Municipal Development was vacant, and, as per the constitution, would have a new holder picked from the person who performed the second best in the March elections, being UsualKostas.

Impeachment

6 days into taking the office of Minister of Municipal Development, several other Ministers expressed dissatisfaction with his performance. As a result, after discussion amongst 3 Ministers, gorkymoo1119 would open an impeachment inquiry against UsualKostas, which would succeed. He would then be replaced by twomoo1119.
