History of our Minecraft Faction of Avalon but it's Sr Pelo References (EarthMC) is a fully animated 2020 Educational Story-Time Animation Parody written, directed, edited, and created by American Youtuber Dabs_All_Ovar. The video is a Parody of the famous Mexican Animation Youtuber Sr Pelo's sect of various Animation videos, which tend to feature large amounts of screaming and shrieking.Template:VideoTemplatePartially inspired by Kaliningrad General's The Ottoman Empire | but it's Sr Pelo references, the video follows the history of the EarthMC nation of Avalon, represented by a Countryball known as Avalon Ball, as he ventures through the history of the nation in a very abridged, comedic retelling, encountering friends and foes along the way.
Plot
The video begins with New Scotland humming about whilst rowing a boat, he appears to come upon an island that features a 3Ball, a Countryball most associated with natives, and a sign that reads "WELCOME TO PEE PEE ISLAND". He colonizes the 3Ball, thrusting a New Scottish flag upon the 3Ball's head, which turns the 3Ball from a 3Ball to a Colony of New Scotland. As his work is done, New Scotland promptly leaves on his boat, leaving the colony to fend for itself. He stares blankly at the Camera, with desires of Avalonese Independence building.
Much like Kaliningrad General's video, it then cuts to the Volume Warning. A message drawn in red marker blares "OI YOU!" as a duo of Avalon Balls flank the message on both sides. One holds a diamond sword, the other holds a diamond hoe. A second message below the first is shown in white marker, before it cuts back to the video.
Once back, we can see the same New Scotland Colony Ball from earlier trotting about the Avalon Peninsula, when he decides to go and ask New Scotland if he could be independent. Angered by this proposition, New Scotland shouts a violent NO at him, but whilst this is happening, Somerset Ball uses this distraction to maul New Scotland with a diamond sword facing towards the wrong direction. Once the job is done, Somerset Ball runs off before he can be caught. Without a proper parent nation, New Scotland Colony Ball becomes independent, donning a new, more colourful flag and becoming Avalon Ball.
Hearing the nearby ruckus, Quebec Ball jumps below and is scarred to see what Somerset Ball had done to New Scotland Ball. He screams and flies after him, but leaves behind Newfoundland Ball to fill the power vacuum that New Scotland Ball had previously occupied. Avalon Ball and Newfoundland Ball do not get along, with Newfoundland Ball attempting to thrust a Newfoundlandish flag onto Avalon Ball, but with Avalon Ball propelling the attack. After an hour-long fight, Avalon Ball is victorious after beating Newfoundland Ball with a cake, and Avalon Ball runs off.
Avalon Ball, now enlightened by the holy religious light of the religion of Pissism, attempts to convert several more nations to the religion. He dons the signature The Poop's Hat and a stamp, and converts nations to Pissism by stamping them, leaving them with a Pissism mark. He successfully converts an irritated-looking Venezuela Ball and Mughal_Empire Ball, before being confronted by an even moreso irritated-looking Greenland Ball. Avalon Ball is, however, able to convert him too.
The scene then cuts to a wooden bleacher topped with a tarp reading "CANADIAN UNION, EH?". The bleacher is populated by various Canadian nations. Avalon Ball swiftly runs and takes a seat at the centre of the bleachers before a camera is able to take a picture, at which Avalon Ball then swiftly runs away again.
Avalon Ball then attempts to convert Norway Ball to Pissism, but is defeated. This splits Avalon Ball up into a civil war, Avalon Ball versus Nova Scotia Ball. They fight before being suddenly reunited. The now-whole Avalon Ball then gets a telephone call from USA Ball, who then screams at Avalon Ball to join them. Once Avalon Ball says Goodbye, USA Ball begins to get very upset and goes to complain to Avalon Ball in-person, only to get promptly beaten. Avalon Ball then runs away.
Avalon Ball then gets on a boat, and much like New Scotland Ball before them, colonizes a part of Africa, now known as Western_Sahara Ball, and introduces him to Pissism. Upon arriving back home, Canadian Union Ball is fighting with Northwest Syndicate Ball. Avalon Ball enters the conflict and defeats Northwest Syndicate Ball, getting another colony out of him called Slave Ball. But before Avalon Ball has a chance to celebrate, he gets beaten by Quebec Ball, USA Ball, Nova Scotia Ball (unrelated to the civil war), and New England Ball, to which Acadia Ball flies out of Avalon Ball. Avalon Ball panics before an annexation map is shown instead of Avalon Ball. Bactria Ball, Avalon Ball's sworn enemy, walks over and laughs at the map. But not yet before Avalon Ball breaks out of the map and Avalon's national anthem, Crab Rave starts playing as Avalon Ball returns.
At the last scene of the video, Avalon Ball is shown trotting across the land before encountering Sr Pelo himself. Avalon Ball brings his hat and stamp and tries to convert Sr Pelo to Pissism before Sr Pelo freaks out and attacks Avalon Ball. The credits then roll, showcasing each Ball featured in the film, followed by the message "THANK YOU FOR WATCHING".
Production
Production started two weeks prior to release and took two weeks to finish the film. Each animation was carefully drawn in the photoshop-knockoff program GIMP, and then exported into Sony Vegas to bring them to life. The main plot was written as a comical derivative of the historical and wholesome history of Avalon. Many complicated conflicts were melted down into an easier to understand format, such as the NWS war. Each nation was chosen to be represented by a Countryball-style ball, and wars would be shown through the usage of petty fights. The main inspiration for the video was Kaliningrad General's video on Turkey, and sounds from that video were mimicked in this video as a way to pleasantly reference the other. Once the video was complete, a teaser was posted to the EarthMC reddit, and it was officially released on October 13th, 2020.
Cast
While not starring himself, voice clips from the famous Mexican Youtuber Sr Pelo are used to voice many of the Balls featured in the short.
Music
The film features the primary track of Creative Exercise from the video game Mario Paint, which plays throughout the majority of the video. At one point in the film, Noisestorm's Crab Rave is used for a brief amount of time, as it is the national anthem of Avalon.
Release
Although unlike much of Dabs_All_Ovar's typical content, the video experienced a moderate amount of success. It received over 180 views within the first day. Upon the video's completion, a teaser was made by u/remcoms to the EarthMC subreddit praising the video as "most possibly the best EarthMC video", which added to the video's success.
Reception
The video was generally well-received both with those outside and inside the EarthMC community, with those inside of the community appreciating the subtle references and inside jokes, and those outside enjoying the humour and comedically exaggerated conflicts. Many claim the video to be the single greatest EarthMC video ever.
