Jewygate
Jewygate was a political scandal in Nubia during the May 2021 Nubia elections. The scandal started after the campaign of gorkymoo1119 pointed out that competitor Fijiloopins had posted a screenshot of TheRealJewy, who had fought against Nubia in the Yemen-Nubia Conflict, saying Fijiloopins was his 'best friend'. Subsequent debate would take place between the candidates.
Background
Fijiloopins had registered in the race of Minister of Foreign Affairs in the May 2021 Nubia elections to introduce competition to gorkymoo1119, as Gorkymoo1119 had won the April elections for the position uncontested. Fijiloopins would be the first foreign affairs candidate other than gorkymoo1119 to campaign, and was seen as a front-runner in the race for the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Scandal
On the 28th April 2021, Fijiloopins would post a screenshot showing TheRealJewy naming Fijiloopins his 'best friend'. Initially, this was not noticed by anyone until later, in which gorkymoo1119's campaign would notice. With this, gorkymoo1119 would create the political attack advert 'who else might he trust?', suggesting Fijiloopins was a puppet of TheRealJewy and thus couldn't be trusted to run foreign policy. This would be followed by a series of debate by the two about Fijiloopins' alleged friendship with TheRealJewy and how active it was.
Aftermath
Gorkymoo1119 would go onto win the election, with Fijiloopins being second.
