Claims of electoral fraud in the May 2021 Nubia elections were spread hours after the result came out on the 1st May 2021, with Greaseballer being a key figure in such. He would accuse twomoo1119 of rigging the elections in favour of gorkymoo1119 in the Foreign Affairs race and rigging in favour of a candidate in all other races, however did not name everyone else who he allegedly rigged the elections for. The claims were often dismissed as a joke.
The accusations mainly came as a result of the Foreign Affairs race, in which gorkymoo1119 had won a landslide victory despite having 10 others running against him. Greaseballer's claims of electoral fraud were backed up on no evidence, which put them under much criticism.
Background
Foreign Affairs race campaign
Greaseballer had registered to run in the Minister of Foreign Affairs race as a joke, encouraging others to do so as well. 8 others would follow, with Fijiloopins and gorkymoo1119 already being registered. This was despite predictions being heavily confident that the result would go in favour of gorkymoo1119.
During the election campaign period, Greaseballer and phrouge would launch attack adverts on gorkymoo1119 as a result of their concern that he would win again.
Results
After twomoo1119 announced the results, there was little backlash initially, with most failed candidates accepting that they had lost. However, Greaseballer would claim electoral fraud after gorkymoo1119 discussed the results with him.
Events
Claims of winning the election
Prior to making large claims of electoral fraud, Greaseballer would create an acceptance speech and announce it, thanking those who supported him. This was widely seen as a joke, with other Foreign Affairs candidate ElectroZaidYT applauding Greaseballer for his humour.
Initial claims
Upon seeing the election results, Greaseballer would soon claim electoral fraud. He would accuse twomoo1119, Emperor of Nubia and thus in-charge of the elections, of rigging the elections in favour of candidates he wanted, including gorkymoo1119. The claims were made in public, with many acknowledging the claims as a joke.
Support of phrouge
Phrouge, a friend of Greaseballer, would soon start agreeing with Greaseballer's claims of electoral fraud. Phrouge would announce that he believed Greaseballer had won and the elections were rigged and would often support Greaseballer's claims.
Aftermath
Little would come out of the claims of electoral fraud as a result of them being widely dismissed, with the Ministers elected continuing to be the Ministers serving.
