The government prior to the elections

The following is a timeline of major events leading up to, during, and after the May 2021 Nubia elections. The campaigning for the election started on the 25th of March 2021, voting would begin on the 1st April 2021 and end on the 2nd April, electing the new government.

  • Registration for candidates in the election starts
  • The following candidacies are announced:
  • Little campaigning and debating happened due to election-related channels in discord being closed.
  • Greaseballer, amongst others, would promote running in the Foreign Affairs race as a joke, with several people immediately applying.

    • For Minister of Imperial Affairs:

  • StarKiller1744 withdraws from running for the Minister of Defence race.
  • Gorkymoo1119 campaigns for the first time, using a poster with his slogan promoting voting for 'competency', with a caption saying he was the only serious candidate.
  • t0esss starts his campaign with an advertisement on the MAST plan.
  • Several politicians publish their predictions.
  • Mengan_ publishes her first campaign advertisement, focused on her previous experience and achievements.

28th April
  • Fijiloopins enters the race for Minister of Defence, having previously endorsed StarKiller1744.
  • t0esss would leave the race for Minister of Cultural Affairs.
  • Mengan_ and Radio_Activ debate about issues regarding imperial affairs, with Radio_Activ ending up leaving the Nubian discord.
  • UsualKostas campaigns for the first time, promising to host events 2 to 3 times a week.
  • iiSoulitez campaigns for the first time, on a basis of improving Turkana.
  • bigdale69_ campaigns for the first time, announcing a plan to create new jobs.
  • 'Jewygate' starts after Fijiloopins posts about his relations with TheRealJewy.
  • Sad_poo starts his campaign, with a picture showing his wealth.
  • Lopile posts election propaganda used in his last election, campaigning for the first time.

29th April

  • Gorkymoo1119 campaigns on a new poster quoting former Ministers of Foreign Affairs who had endorsed him.
  • Phrouge starts his campaign, using a poster that attempts to flatter his supporters.
  • The ballot opens, allowing for people to vote.
